Help taking Technics deck apart - dodgy phono cable

One of my (Technics 1210 Mk 2) decks has a dodgy phono cable which needs to be replaced.

Just had a look around t'internet, but can't find any useful guides or anything, however I've heard rumours that you need some special tools & bonus moves to take them apart

Does anybody know what they are talking about, or point me in the right direction??

You have probably already worked it out but you dont need any special tools. just a philips head screw driver will get it open. when you turn it upside down try and rest it on a pillow or somethins so that the tone arm isnt taking all the weight.
