alot of work on this

I like this! It's weird, so it's good to hear somebody doing weird stuff these days. The only thing is that it really needs more changes throughout it...the part when the beat changes and the synth drops out was really good, that just needs to happen way earlier and more often. As it is, it's just too repetitive and sounds more like an interlude or DJ tool to me, which isn't a bad thing, it just needs more if you want to flesh it out into a full tune.

The low end on Dr. X is fine...it could MAYBE be turned up a bit on Mind Games, but you're probably better off turning the highs down just a bit, as those seemed to stick out a little. Couldn't hurt to turn the sub up just a tiny bit as well. Other than that, nothing stuck out to me as bad or weird in the mixdown, but I'm just listening on KRK RP5's.

Heres my latest finished article. Let me know if the drum compression sounds alright.

Soundcloud

Hmm...the snare sounds fine, I wouldn't touch that. But the hi-hats seem much too loud in the mix, and the kick drum sounds a bit weird, which I feel is related to the compression...it sticks out too much but sounds kinda muddy at the same time, like it's clashing with the sub frequencies or something. Maybe it's just too loud?

Here's the newest one from me...probably the most traditional dubstep tune I've done in quite a while. Not sure if that's a good thing or not. Anyway, darker vibe, kinda deep, but still made for the dancefloor. Would love to hear peoples' thoughts on it.

really like this, some nice chords going on and really nice high hats only thing i dont really like about the tunes is the wobble. It sounds kinda weak in comparrison to other parts of the track

Nice one mate, I didn't really notice any problems with the bass personally. Might be an idea to re-upload it if you're really unhappy though, it can sometimes improve the quality.

@ penndragon

i like the synth work in mind dragon but i think the drop could be harder. the track is also lacking quite a lot in the bass department so you should look to bring it out. also, i think the drums are a bit weak until that amen break kicks in, maybe some compression to get the kicks and snares tighter and pump harder. the mixdown on dr x is better i think but the drop is still quite weak (unless that was the effect you were going for)

i really like the dark rolling style you've got. i'd say just work on the mixdowns to get them tighter

N.O.
really like the way this progresses. really nice synth work throughout. the kicks and snares need to be brought out quite a bit cos at the moment, their sitting way behing that symphony of synths. also, i think the song is a bit bass heavy and the bass could be turned down a notch.

this ones personal preference but i don't think that snare suits the vibe of the tune, if it was me i'd go for a snappy and sharp snare with quite a lot of presence in the mids and highs

really nice track though, i like it when it drops into that 4x4 beat

right, done a little refix of my recent tune. not a lot of big changes, just a host of subtle ones to bring in a bit of variation. i've kept the overall vibe of the original though

check it out and let me know what you think

once again, all feedback and criticism is very much appreciated 8)

Feeling the rhythm throughout the track, gives the song a nice pace! Also the switch at 2.50 was really nice, added some nice variety to it. Really like the vocal samples as well, add a nice bit of spaciness to the tune :)

Soundcloud

would love if you could check this if you got the time

@mistalyf : cool rhythm, cool track. i particularly like the use of the stabwob kinda thing. intresting piece. not much to say ><

@The Phantom Banger : i feel the bongo hits feel very lonely in the sub drop, also work on more a build up, maybe high pass sweeping you lead or the whole thing, maybe the whole trance snare build up. also what would sound cool with this track is like a snare roll thing (think joker-ish). on a really posative note its compositionally brilliant. really feeling the sub maybe continue that bit more with more variation? up to you tbh would be awesome with these changes

Yeah that's the only part I'm not sure about...because I didn't want the tune to be about the wobble, so I wanted it to be kinda subtle and not really be the main part of the track. So really, it's SUPPOSED to be weaker, but again I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not. Anyway, I went back and subtle-ized it a bit and I think it sounds better. Thanks for the feedback man :t:

I think it's pretty solid, but that vocal is mixed waaaay too low in the mix. I think - think! - I'd quite like it if I could hear it more.

Good stuff tho.
