there is no best in this i guess ...

but WAVELAB, SOUNDFORGE and recycle will bring you very far ;)

I'm more of a wavelab guy ... just a matter of being used to ... and recycle is mandatory since i use quite some hardware ...

Oh right, i started off with ACID, then went to Soundforge.. i aint looked back since !
