where can i get good sound FX?

Post by ronnikins66 » Tue Mar 16, 2010 12:39 am

I've been making some beats and they feel empty. From what i've been listening to lately, alot of producers use ambient sound effects. Like bar9's zap sounds in Murda Sound? If you know what i mean could you please tell me where to find some good sound FX? Thanks in advance.

freesound.org is a good place to find some random noises. tweak em in FL and im sure youll find something you like.

just use their search box. or click "random", thats what i do sometimes, you can find some real interesting sounds.

Making effects is just tweaking knobs in a synth of your choice - or running around and recording stuff and later raping it in some audio editor?
