people working in graphic design need to see this.

Post by seckle » Sun Jan 28, 2007 3:40 pm

adobe announced last january that they're researching new approaches to graphic design.
the same adobe people just leaked another demo video, and you'll see that this is getting closer to reality. people are saying by the end of 2007 watch for laptops without keyboards or a mouse. absolutely sick.

This is going to be the biggest thing to happen to production technology since, like, VST.

your not serious??? are you?

I wouldnt buy a lappy with a UI like that, 1st there is a reason, other than impressive vids, that screen is so big. 2nd, what is the point of a lappy if you have to wash ya hands before and during use?

not to mention interfaceing with existing software blahblahblah - cool vid tho

I saw this technology about a year and a half ago, with the modular synth and virtual object trackers and all that. wicked, however.... you think thats going to be commercially available in the next 5 years? er...... do you realise the spec you'll need on your super-duper g7 mac or pc to run that shit? it'll be ridiculous, it isn't even available to corperate motherfuckers yet. My pc and network has enough trouble when im trying to look at a building or road on google earth, let alone 3d fucking montages of maps and thermal imaging and that.
Looking forward to it though.
Although, I wouldnt let any motherfucker touch my computer if i had that.
'er... yeah... can i search for something on the net mate?'
'er.... no, you filthy fuck, go wash your hands' lol.

Anyway, rant over. :)
