Urgh, just watched the Horizon episode. Found it a bit blah with rather annoying and repetitive dramatisations. Especially that stupid explosion with bits flying out of it. And that guy who sneered at every postulate, but was given literally 3s to mention his theory.

This is a really good read, bought it for my Dad for Christmas last year and read it myself before wrapping it - lots of very thorough scepticism!

Slightly deviated from physics, but still on the topic of documentary. David Attenborough when I'm high is the only reason I have sky. Once, on a comedown I watched a whole day of David Attenborough and swear to god that was the best way to spend a comedown. I recommend it to everyone. But just in general, who wouldn't want to live that guys life.

Watched this on iPlayer last night, so very very good. The bloke that presents it is pretty good too, love his enthusiasm and hamster cheeks.

Just watched the second episode, very good episode! Saturn's rings! :U:

I do wonder what his lectures at university are like. If the series so far is anything to go by, they're probably fairly lighthearted with a good dose of info.

That is not the correct attitude. We must WORSHIP the Bearded Branson for he shall take us to the STARS (for an affordable fee).

I actually opened a bank account to save up a couple of years ago. I've been putting shit in and everything.

I absolutely MUST go to space one day. 8)

Hahaha for real?

Fucking respect, man. Some people save up for a caravan, some people save up for a classic sports car, and some people save to go to the mother fucking moon.

Serious. As soon as I heard about Virgin Galactic I started saving a bit here and there. I'm sure I'm nowhere near what I'd need and certainly won't be even close when they start going, but it's a bit of a matter of assuring myself that I'll do it at some point in my life

I really really really dig space.

It won't be Branson by the time I can afford it though. It'll be Stelios and his fucking EasyOrbit or something. Won't even be able to get a decent packet of peanuts.

Y'know what? I was thinking exactly that when they showed that animation of the Earth tonight. I've always wanted to go to space, but for some bizarre reason, seeing that image tonight really made me want to see it for myself more than ever before.

I dont agree with you hackman, most of whats talked about in the program isnt in GCSE physics, actually it gets pretty in depth without becoming technical. I did dual award science though, if u were a neek and did triple science then maybe they taught you all of this

Just watched the Sun episode,
Normally I wouldn't watch this kinda stuff cos I always thought it was a tad boring,

But i'm glad I did, and the presenter was ace! wish I had as much dedication and passion for something as he does.

Gonna watch the next one when I get back from College, then go get fucked and talk shit to people about what I have learnt! :D Haha
