@colder, its sounding nice man but the wobble seems a bit harsh for what builds up to it. Maybe the finished product will justify it.

anyway bump for feedback....

Soundcloud

I know the synth throughout needs changing but...it's a work in progress. by the way, the synth isn't meant to be a wobble...

@Blah: Nice track, must admit I prefered it before the midrange synth came in, was feeling the sub. I think you could get away with it, put the mid synth to the back of the mix a little, but riding the sub alone might turn the tune into a bit of a drone.

@goldorak: Again, nice track could do with mixing up a bit, but nothing much. Other than that my only suggestion would be to get a little more clarity to the sounds.

Something a little different I've been working on.

Soundcloud
Everything after the intro hasnt had much attention paid to it, bassline and percussion after that point are basically placeholders.

@soulshynchyld

I like the vibe on it but i wish the drums were more substantial and busy. I feel like a quick 2step beat would go really well. The bass that kicks in at the end is nice as well

@Astral

Love the tune so far, would be nice to hear a full cut, maybe a return to the intro melody towards the end?

@ruari89

I like the tin can percussion, but my feeling is that the song is too long. Could definitely be cut in half

And here is a remix i've been working on for the last few days... feedback appreciated!

@soulshynchyld Lovin the hone down vibe, good for busy times stop the air moving around ye, but i agree there could be a little more goin on rhythmicly (at least in first build till wob kicks) and the wob is a little too harsh

Here's a track i started from 1 - 4 in the morning just now, so the mixing is rough (played all the parts live first take) but have a listen and comment on directionSoundcloud

nyah know whats funny, i actually halftimed the drums to find a soul in the song,lol. i agree with ya both about everything, how did ya listen to it?? did ya notice a heavy low response? ya see what this turns into, it will evolve easy. just gota find some time to have a play.chea for ya feedback, much love!!

-bastion-- bro im real not diggin the intro, starts to pik up abit, the bass sounds like its clipping hard & then the wobble is asking for more depth ay! 2.33 onwards is real interesting. you know that main sample hit thingy...reckon it needs to have less presence, sounds alot nicer highpassed than not. im not real diggin tha overall track tho. nothing is really grabbing my attention ay.

astral-- that delayed intro thingy needs to have less sustain i reakon or is it just a case of over-reverb? ya bass sounds abit to damp/dull. its needed tuned aswell, try it in a higher key & boost its lows. keep it harmonic!!

-maelstro-- ya need to eq that shit brutha. i can hear what your tryna do (which would be nice), but its way too muddy as fak ay! i recommend ya spend some time learning up on: gain structure, spacial acoustics, frequency response, etc. then you will understand how to really create the sound you are going for. ya cant just chuck it all in together like that.

@ ruari89 - i like the overall vibe but i think it drags a little long. maybe trim it back a little and spice up the beat like you did at 2:40.

@ soulshynchyld - sounds good. i deffinetly think if the drums doubled up at a drop it would really sound sick.

@ maelstrom99 - i like it but some of the frequencies seem to be clashing making it sound a little muddy and harsh.

@ Astral - i really like the drum pattern at :55. can't wait to hear it with the bass sound finished.

@ synthlf - uhhh sick. the synths sound fucking awesome. the atmosphere on it is great. i love how many good tracks get posted on here.

i've been working on this the last couple days. haven't been doing this very long and still have a lot to learn.

@maelstrom could be good, but you have too much going on at the same time. also, not digging the beat too much, needs a little shift in rhythm at some point, i reckon.

@synthlf pretty sweet tune :D

still working on it, and still a bit stuck with the beats :(

synthlf-- nice 1 bro, ya def got ya production down durrty & sorted ay!! mean

lodestone-- way too busy ay, how do ya say...umm, everything is just plain wrong. im at a loss of what i can say about it, dont worry tho, we all start from somewea.
karanp-- what are you trying to do with that bassline?? thicken it up!! & ya know tha loop in the bak...turn it down abit.

Muta-- what software are ya using?? then we can help ya thicken it up. i dont real like that reverse glith thing as a snare, maybe layer a true snare on it ah

tripwire-- needs a good mixdown, more space & turn down that bell/pianoish thing. it may be ya hook, but i feel its too loud in the mix ay!

& i have almost finished this track!!! just a lil mo work & itll be complete.
im luvn the feel of this, tell i&i if ya get the same vibes!!

To start off with, Your track really has some nice vibes indee,d and it relaxes me very much! Dont really have anything to say on it either O_O I like it the way it is pretty much :}

Also, I use Renoise together with Albino V3, which is pretty much all I use, 'cause its the only thing i have availeble for use haha. And putting a true sanre on that reversed one may be a good idea yea, i'll try that out As soon as i am home again :]

i take this approach.....

right right??? hahah. seriously though anything specific you can pick out that you don't like would help. i know the hihat pattern is busy as fuck.

synthlf - definitely my favorite of all the tunes i've heard in here, very laid-back good feeling from it, great track!

tripwire - definitely good. Takes "wobble" to a different spot, always nice to hear that out of a hype-up tune.

soulshynchyld - i was definitely feeling the intro/initial drop. Bass is heavy on that! When that wobble came in it just felt a bit out of place though. Felt like it was a very mellowed out tune but the wobble that came in was a bit harsh/didn't belong. Just my opinion on it. Other than that I think it's great though!

Really digging this track, liking the beat and the wobble, the hi hats could do with some work though seems like your using camelphat on one of the hi hats which I think is the one to work on and improve. Other then that I really like the song, don't feel like much else could be improved expect make it a tad longer.

Sounds really quiet, could turn it up a bit lol, I'm liking the joker esque synth sound you got going on from the 40 second mark. Another thing is layer the snare so its gives it more punch like a good cracking snare should have and beef up the kick as well but its got potential.

Really liking this track so chilled out, great bit of space and I love the sub.

Got another track in the works, probably needs a better mixdown but its still rough so feedback is needed, tell me what is shit and what is good. :lol:

zonetrooper - I really like the intro/vocals on that. I feel like it could've gone a completely different way and been a sick track but that might not be your style. I can't really say much though, when that wobble comes in it really overpowers the track. Can't hear much other than that and the snare. :(

Thanks man, yeh I can understand the not being able to hear the synths and some other elements, I split the bassline into three different frequencies so it could be why its overpowering the other parts of the track. I also think it could do with some eqing so its less muddy and I can change the bassline up if needed so its no biggy.
