I used to love massive but it's all about the ES2, resample and mess about in kontakt.

I also made a synth with 8 pwm'ing square waves and a couple of filters in Pd which does what it does really well but is really limited in scope. I might branch it out so that it has 16 oscillators and some envelope capabilities on the filters.

i use massive alot, but mostly for subs(straight sine-hit cut to fak). Surge has a certain patch that im luvn alot. in logic es2 is nice for basic wobbles. but i wobble any synth with lfo & cutoff(although i have been steering away from midrange bass)!! chea

I'm a huge fan of massive. love the performer lfo's, and the macro controls are very useful for automation. I also use albino 3 and predetor, both sick synths!

I haven't even got near to mastering the ES2 yet but i fucking love it. Haven't ever used another synth for my bassline and if all goes to plan i don't intend to.

Marshy I normally don't like harder dubstep but your tracks are sick.

Why do you guys like logics es-2...does it do anything another synth like massive can't do?

Means a lot mate, noted and appreciated!

ES2 is overlooked purely because it comes inside Logic, if it didn't and they charged £100+ it'd be the go to synth for a lot of big producers imo.

hmmm... maybe you should start exploring sound design and synthesis, it would probably make a huge difference in wither you "like" the vst or not. Cause knowing how to use it might allow you to create the "wobble" you want. Honestly the infamous wobble sounds are created because you just sit at your computer and tinker with shit for hours.. but thats just i've found to be true for me..

for mids... completely depends. but most stuff goes through kontakt at some point.
i love pro-53. get some really nice sounds out of it.

i use it more for leads and odd sounds/pads etc but have never really used it for bass... will have to experiment :D
