I may be wrong but I think that Iran, along with many other Asian countries, have a natural resources for military protection deal with China. No doubt this is just the sort of thing to spurn that dumb cocksucker bush into invasion. But I hope it all stays peaceful there, I get the impression there is a large opinion gap between the 79 revolutionaries and the youths. More bikinis & less burquas please.
also, Hera, are these random Iranians you met while on holiday or friends from home? I've been longing to visit for years now and hope to go sometime soon.

these were mostly all family and friends of family. I extended my month long trip by another 2 weeks because there was just too much to do and see. I highly recommend going, if you are a male born in Iran and didnt serve in the military before moving you have 3 months for visit and after the 3 month mark you have to serve military duty. They wont mess with you otherwise.iag wrote:also, Hera, are these random Iranians you met while on holiday or friends from home? I've been longing to visit for years now and hope to go sometime soon.
keep in mind, this is a third world country whch means theres no such thing as traffic lanes (or laws for that matter) and no one waits in line. But outsiders- immigrant Iranians and foreigners alike forget what this country has to offer because the regime wont allow them to advertise it. Its really quite a shame that people in my university classes still thought Iran consisted of deserts, tents and camels. for example: "so like, you guys have cars?"
Iran has a HEAP of natural gas and alot of oil.
Absolute necessity in this commodity thirsty world.
Iran can grow out very very big.
Ahmedinehjad bless him, aint the man. Way too populist and a bit wacky.
The intensely fought Shia Sunni battle is gathering pace. There could be a massive turn in hegemony in the area towards Shiism - which personally i dont see a problem with, but try telling more religious people than me. Iraq is shia dominated.
There is the nuclear threat...funny how we India are allowed to getting into the nuclear deal, but Iran aren't....
Israel if they strike will cause nuff nuff grief...
reprecussions will be so severe all over the world.
Iraq needs to get peace.
Iran needs to stay out of it all.
America shouldn't attack because as his been shown they really dont get the area and its nuances...
volatile times this year...
