wtf massive!
so i keep making certain patterns with massive after tweaking with all of the osc's and other settings, and get a pattern i like, but after playing the song a few times the pattern just plays something like what i had but completely different and keeps changing between 2 different patterns basically. any clue why this happens anyone? any help will be much appreciated =)

						Re: wtf massive!
This sounds much like an unchecked "Restart via gate" setting in the OSC tab. If it is off, the oscillators start at random phases. You can try it by triggering the same MIDI key quickly for a few times, the sound always should be different. Sometimes this is wanted but most of the time your sound will move between phat and weak and doesn't allow for consistent basses. Try enabling it!

i love you!
nvm... it still seems to be doing it... every time i play the song it alternates between 2 different things that it plays =/

if you are on logic you will need to untick 'external sync' or whatever it is, makes massive do buggy shit. also make sure you lfo's are set to restart...

						Re: wtf massive!
try enabling the 'pos' option on your LFOs - then the lfo position should stay synced to your host, no matter where you start playback from.

Re: wtf massive!
Sounds to me like you have more then one voice going on. Under the 'voice' tab, to the left of the first slider.
If it is more than one, and that first slider is to the very left, you will get a varied sound, depending on how many voices are active. The slider is either 'detune' or 'position'.
Switch it to one and see if the problem persists.

Re: wtf massive!
Well, the crashing is a known issue... with warzed versions of Massive. I bet it crashes as soon as you try to apply some modulation?

						Re: wtf massive!
soo when i go on to the global tab, and click reset right under where it says "preset bpm" it will cycle through a number of various different things it plays. every time i play that pattern in the playist, it will randomly play one of those. how do i make it only play one of those, the one i want specifically?

Re: wtf massive!
These types of things w/in fruity are usually a result of errantly recorded event data.
And not to solve the problem, but just to get you into the soldier mentality of just getting the job done... you can sample the line how you like it and just trigger the sample at the appropriate times (or just place the recorded audio in the playlist).
Get the track done.
Solve the problem outside the context of working on the track.
Feel me, blood?
