Santa Cruz based DJ, promoter, and producer Rastatronics has been on the decks since 1998 spinning an eclectic mix of underground electronic music and reggae influenced tracks, that gives his sets an exciting and singular sound. He has become focused on pushing the dubstep style as a founding member of the Subwize DJ collective and through his partnership with Bay Area event promoters Raindance.

Rastatronics has been on the same bill with acts such as Diplo, Rusko, Skream, Benga, Distance, DZ, MRK1, Djunya, Eskmo, Matty G, and STS9. Most recently seen at the playa alongside Bassnectar al Burning Man 09 He has begun producing and remixing, with his collaboration with Canadian producer DZ on a remix of Pink Floyd’s seminal “Comfortably Numb” receiving international attention. Rastatronics is currently in the studio with Blackheart and will be putting out an EP with MalLabel this summer. One of the tracks featured on the show this week will also be coming on Bay Area Dubstep volume 3, so be sure to check for that!
