It's ASCII, like the TEXTp mode makes all videos appear in ASCII. That part is for April Fool's I guess, but not the whole layout apparently. If you use TEXTp mode, it says "happy April Fool's!" or similar.

They should keep the ASCII as a feature like they did with 3D.

Ah okay it makes more sense now, I guess people were mainly rating videos ether 1 or 5 stars so there was no point in keeping it.
