But does it matter? At the end of the day, the people who push the sound the most get their dues, and the rest get left in the past...
And the best thing is - You can pick who to go see yourself, so you only have yourself to blame if you end up going to a rave you don't want to be in

I'll stay clear of the jump up though, thanks

people are arguin tht becos of the newer sounds, the 'traditional' dubstep artists dont get booked as much....
2bh that means stop spending so much time whinging on the internet and start promoting nights and booking acts you want to see. buy their vinyls. support the scene, whining on the net wont do shit
as with every genre, you get artists getting through that u might not think deserve to... no reason why dubstep should be any different.

this is bullshit of a high order. no one's loosing or not getting booked. just because you see 3 or 4 names on festival dates, doesn't mean that one sound is being pushed aside. please get a grasp of what you're talking about before making sweeping statements.

Ok, so it used to be this thing that went "chickity chickity cha cha"... but then it went "worb worb worb".. and now, it goes.."chickity chickity cha worb cha". but apparently, if it goes "worb worb worb weeow weeow", then that's well out of order.
All clear?

April fools...?
Hehehe I was trying to get the post in b4 midnight but got carried away needed to get a few things off my chest lol
Not joking I'm sure Doctor P/Cuntfase/Barenoize etc are nice ppl etc but your music is absolute shit and I cant tell the difference between any of you
Im gonna stop whining now and get on a beat anyway...

in my opinion tunes like sweet shop have no rhythym or progression in their music it does seem like a medly of screaming babies, and also the drums are very basic in the songs and seem like they are taken from a generic dubstep pack and these people are getting popular because they are outdoing each other in terms of 'filth'
Hopefully this fad will pass and people will learn the art of dubstep which producers like pinch peverlist and mala do so well .
People seem to also forget what dubstep is all about, if you look at the videos about the origantion of dubstep some tunes from artists like funtcase do not seem to respect the origins of dubstep which is bass orientated music with a minimal half beat drum beat, adding your own sounds to the music,
but thats my opnion anyway

it's funny how doctor p has taken the most cliche sound of jump up dnb (that synthy noise in a few of his tracks) and just whacked it on a dubstep beat
example in the badman sound tune

im not arguing this, other people are. look back amongst the thread and see comments where people are complaining they cant go out because every time they go out they hear chainsaw noises etc.
personally i rekcon there is a huge variety of nights out there, u just hav to look harder. and if u cant find it do it urself! (which was the point i was originally making)
