@ the dub lemon
like the intro and the instruments coming in, kick and snare sounds big. that vocal sample is fucking HEAVY. and the drop is just as sick, the bassline is mad. loving those background shaker/hats you brought in at 2.23 aswell.loving the bassline switch at 1.50 and the wobble that follows. overall i loved the way the track progressed and there was always a new element being added once something sounded rinsed. very very big tune

@ neurotik
again loving this, loving the vocal sample, from blackstreet init? anyway the sound gets a bit samey after a while, it wouldnt hurt to throw in some catchy pads every so often. what i do love is the drums, i would of thrown in some switch up in there somewhere, but thats just me. a few elements to consider, but still a really nice track.

@ itskoncrete
i like the pads on the intro, and the high poitched chimes sounds tasty, but i think theres a tad bit too much revereb on them. the drums are fantastic, really head nodding shit. really not feeling the wobbling that comes in at 1.23, really takes alot out of the song, just adding a normal sub would of acted as good imo. s little more variation and lose the wobble, otherwise this is a very big track.

this ones mine, biggles

really enjoyed the intro, the drums are nice, although imo i think the snare/clap could be a little less clicky? the drop sounds right on!:)
seems pretty fluent and it has a nice vibe to it. only other thing is the bass could do with a bit of tweaking, maybe down an octave.

im only a beginner myself, but thats what i think :) hit me up with a 320 if you have any!

Need some crit on the track in my sig. I like it musically, but production wise it's lacking. I'm having problems with it.

First off the kick is really weak. The snare has no mid-section hit. The opening pad has too much high end. The drum loop at the start has too much high end. The sub bass in the breakdown is really pissing me about too. It sounds really weak, especially on the lower notes, but I can't seem to fix it, i've tried boosting at 60hz and lower to fix it but it doesn't resolve the problem (I know common n00b problem). I don't know what to do with this thing and I'm really close to just giving up on it and never mixing it down properly. I need help. Have I analyzed the problems correctly? Or am I way off the mark? Also, any suggestions on how to fix the problem with the sub are very welcome.

nice tune. really dont think there's too much wrong with the production at all on that, the sub sounds fine in the breakdown. If you want a more aggressive sounding sub you could try changing the filter on the synth so its not so low passed, adding a touch of resonance will also warm it up some. Failing that straight up tube distortion will give you a bit more welly.

layering your drums is the best way to achieve the sound you're after and the phatness you want. I usually layer a low electronic kick with a live, brighter one but you could layer anything if it was the right sound.

if the loop at the beginning has too much top end, just run a low passed EQ cut to soften the tops and give it a boost in the low midrange.

as a tune I think you've done a good job of making what to my ears sound like quite disparate parts gel together well. the piano is beautiful and the melodies are relaxing and serene but those are not things I would normally associate working with what is essentially still a chainsaw wobble bass. however as the bassline is not too in your face, it seems to work nicely as a piece of chill out music. drums are tight and I like the structure. you could beef up the bottom end for a more rounded composition.

anyway this is a remix I just finished for my own label, its on a breaks/dubstep/soca crossover tip at 137bpm. :)

I like this tune corkz. is it the lack of mastering knowledge thats holding you back from a heavy bass line? I thought the bass definitely could have been louder. but i also know that sometimes you can only turn it up so much before it starts to drown out everything else!
