Since when...

Post by neeeil! »

did this forum turn into a "brostep hate" forum?
It says at the top of the forum "worldwide dubstep community" so why so much hate?
The whole brostep thing might not be everyones bag, but bitching and moaning about it isnt going to change the fact that a lot of people are digging it right now.

I used to quite enjoy coming on this forum, but lately it just seems like every other thread is the same.

Instead of splitting up the "community" into different groups, why cant everyone just stop moaning and be happy that dubstep is getting the recognition it deserves.

WHY CANT WE ALL BE FRIENDS haha

no, see....

...because 'BROSTEP' is meant to explain the SHIT sounding tunes with 0% production value.

I enjoy the well produced "jump up" side of things, btw. (The Others, Subscape, etc.)

the 'brostep' deserves no attention/recognition/whatever else.

A musician must make music, an artist must paint, a poet must write, if he is to be ultimately at peace with himself. What a man can be, he must be.

brostep, given how stupid the term itself is, is obviously a derogatory term.
Part of being into electronica is developing a critical ear so you can sort the gems from the massive sea of shit.
I'm just happy that there are enough purists on this site who give tons of love where it's deserved, to Kryptic Minds, Quest, Mala, etc. while shunning the disposable wobblers. It shows discernment.

this is the kind of "brostep" im talking about, the well produced stuff is bang on

there is just too much hate, why does it have to be either you like "real dubstep" or the stuff people are calling "brostep"
im just confused as to why you cant enjoy both on this forum?

haha i might aswell just look at whatever inspector dubplates uploading these days!

its all about bass you can feel more than hear, thats what hits hard in clubs, not the noisy stuff
but now that you've cleared it up, good jump up is not brostep

yeah same, only been into dubstep for 8 months or so, i've listened to all types of dubstep and iv'e found that- the others, subscape, benga, coki, skream, DZ and sometimes L-Wiz just kill it for jump up. They have a cool groove that makes me dance. instead of throwing a load of wobbles in without much thinking..saying that i do have respect for funtcase and datsik etc but i don't really dig there music.
