3am now and i had to force myself off it from, 'just having one more round'. it's addictive as hell and when you're in a squard who work as a team you proper rack the points up, I play as a medic and managed to get over 4,000 points mainly through reviving

You get used to the map size quite quickly. I thought the same but feel it works quite well now. As for the graphics... they arnt the best, but when youve got 32 people multiplayer on the go, that quite impressive!
MAG anyone?

Just bought it for ps3, have to wait til later to play it though. Hope I'm not constrained to just playing singleplayer and the occasional lagged out deathmatch.

I like it - I still prefer BF2, I think it needs planes and to have full scale maps, not just checkpoints for me to prefer it to #2.

Graphics are pretty sick on PC - dunno 'bout the console crowd.

I am on the PC and have everything turned up to the max, it's still a bit shoddy graphics wise - not that I am that arsed about it, it's just another FPS really and they're all quite alike. IT was only last week I finished Mass Effect 2 which has very good graphics... so ho hum. The maps definitely need to be bigger - some of the maps are pathetically small making the few large maps there is in the game the best maps. There's no point in having vehicles and things if you have to hop out of it in a matter of seconds. Maybe they'll add bigger maps in a patch further down the line?

All said and done it is good fun despite a few ****** problems.

This is the first game I have ever been good at sniping in.

Better than MW2 I reckon

Have you played the map set at an old train yard ? That's pretty big and bombing down the train tracks on one of those little buggies is awesome.

Tis a good game indeed, only rank 10 so far but it involves alot more skill than other online FPS's. (The bullet gravity is something I really like, seperates a good sniper from a poor sniper).

It feels a bit rushed, it is incredibly buggy on PC, friend list dosn't work properly, the netcoding is pretty shoddy (Console ports ftl) the physics engines don't have the same values as the console versions, the vehicles drive differently (Console helis have atleast twice the maneuverability as their PC brothers and no auto level), ghosted shots time and time again (probably again due to coding). Things like toggle crouch/aim etc, the lack of admin powers and the lack of being able to mod the game itself is a little off-putting (as soon as we are able to remove M-60's, Nade launchers and gustavs from the game, I'm a happy chappy.

Overall, good game, definately worth a buy, even for PC.

just downloaded it on steam, mainly getting it for the online content, but thought I'd get it on the PC this time as I had all sorts of problems with the servers they use for the online bit on the ps3, kept being dropped outta the game, was fucking irritating as the online was quality.

Fingers crossed it works this time!

Bad Company 2 failed with the introduction of sighting. Bad Company (the original) is far superior then the second installment.

If anyone is still playing Bad Co (the original) hit me up.

The friends list works perfectly OK on my PC, as do the physics. It's going to be different on the consoles because people use a keyboard and a mouse to play it on a PC where as you're losing some of the precision you get with a mouse - so they make flight easier on the console. Can't say I have ever had a ghosted shot. The crouch toggle is a pain in the arse as is not being able to lie down but I have got used to it, but everything else you mentioned... are you sure you're playing hte same game as me? I only have an 8MB connection and find it extremely smooth and soft, I ping the servers at around 10 - 15ms by doing a ping in command prompt. The gren launchers are a pain in the arse, they need levelled out.

I much prefer PC's for gaming, haven't touched my 360 in well over a year.

Was just in a squad with all snipers, all at the other end of the map from where we were attacking, all with c4 (I assume, they werent using mortar to help blow holes into the mcom bases, fucking stnuc) and was only me switching between classes to try and do anything, so changed squad, SAME THING AGAIN (except they were a little closer).

I've been put in some really shit teams today, before everyone seemed to be pretty pro-teamplay, but recently I've just been in cunty teams.

I've got nowt wrong with snipers, I play as recon quite a bit on it, but at least fucking spot and use mortar on tanks/objectives.

Apart from that, still enjoying it. Could do with some more maps though.

Agree with snipers thing. Played the level that was in the demo and had the rest of my team as snipers sitting on that hill at the start while I was the only one doing any attacking. Shame as most of the time you can get a good squad going and do really well.

100% needs more maps.

this game is starting to do my head in, there was one or two bugs when it was first released so they put out a patch... which didn't really fix any of the bugs but rather created even more.

AND ANOTHER THING!!! I am bored of the same maps :(

I banned all of France (well IPs that resolve to France) from my server 8)

There's like 7 VIP map packs I think? I bought a brand new copy because of all the VIP bollocks for £16 off amazon earlier.

so for those of you that aren't on the battlefield 3 beta yet..just had a quick question. I actually just started playing bad company 2 thru steam and I get a heavy sporadic lag every other day that last several hours.

Is this just how it is? I seriously can't figure it out. Seems like there were a ton of server issues a year ago, but no talk of it recently.

edit: appears it's just shitty now and they're ignoring it in favor of BF3..sweet.
hey, you wouldn't hire a clown to fix a leak in the john..so why do you let these hooligans tear down the biz?
