really meaty sandwiches
it's sunday, it's after 4pm, i've gotten out of bed and put clothes on... it's time for my sunday meat fest.
in the fridge this week: german salami, roast beef, chicken. i'd like a bit of ham... looks like mum's on a slack one this week. no matter, on with the sandwich.
ooooh bread with poppy seeds on. bonus. lots of butter. bit of salami... not too much, it's gunna be the strongest flavour. bit of rocket over that to add to the peppery flavour. now beef layer. this is gunna be overpowered by the salami, so i'll need LOTS. bit of colmans on top of that. ah no colmans... wtf? need to have words with madre. that's a slack step too far. dijon it is then. few leaves of lettuce... nice thiiiiiick slice of chicken, sprinkle of salt. ooooh some mozzarella. little bit more salt, some pepper aaaaaand some olive oil. slap some mayo on the top layer of bread and blam.
havin some trouble cutting it in half...
got it
AHHHH BLENCH. it's fantastic.
out to the vegetarians...

it's from thailand. thai's generally put it on chicken dishes, but the reason why it's so good on other things is that the chilis (prik ki nuu) that they use for the sauce are burned in a wok first, so you get this hot burned taste. you'll never see normal hot sauce the same way again. i'd say you could find this in any shop in chinatown/soho.Delendi wrote:never 'eard of it... what's it like, what's its country of origin and where do u get it?

Well put.I'd add that it has a very sweet, yet garlicky taste, but in a perfect balance. It doesn't seem hot straightaway either. It doesn't really hit until you stop eating for a second, the heat comes on like good E,then it all just blends together so nicely. On the bottle it says to try it on hot dogs, fried chicken, and pizza.I like it on sweet and sour pork/chicken and tacos/burritos too,but the pizza thing is the best.seckle wrote: you'll never see normal hot sauce the same way again. i'd say you could find this in any shop in chinatown/soho.
It's in every grocery store in Southern Cali.Pretty much everyone I know into the stuff admits an addiction to it(including myself). It's almost like there is a "cult of sriracha" here.Coincidentally,I have also found it also deeply enhances 'erb.More spiritual in a sense. It might be the increased blood pressure triggered by large amounts of capsaicin. But then again,it might just be the munchies.
i don't have much tolerance for hot sauce... feeble taste buds! i'll give it a go tho... and if i can't handle it i'll bring it to dmz exodus for everyone to use on hot dogs after lol
