ok this bass sound was used in EVERY grime/bassline instrumental i can think of when i was growing up. in that case i can imagine it being really simple but can anyone give me guidelines on how to emulate this sound exactly, like is there glide on this or what?

thanks in advance.

DZ and Rastatronics FTW!

Might not be too much help on the high pitch robot wobble, though. Sounds very organy, like there are a lot of octaves. Also sounds like there could be an ADSR-type envelope modulating the cutoff (as opposed to an LFO)...?

alright im trying to make this sound...
first you have to go here: http://www.myspace.com/madzachandr2thespecialist
then check out the song "8 bit chinoscillator"

the noise im talking about starts at about 0:26
its the high pitched kind of arp'd laser beam sound...

been trying to reproduce it with delay but its not quite working...

the funny part is i actually know these guys, theyre a couple of the the few producers
ive actually met in real life... sad thing is asking them how they made a certain noise
is like pulling teeth, or asking a magician how he made that elephant disappear.

FL9...

I've actually been trying to create this video game sounding lazer thing... Lazersword (which is just like this group you posted, you should check em out.) uses those same sounds. I was messing around with something and got something close using absynth 5 using some sawtooths for the waveforms, and a sawtooth lfo on the amp to give it that ... "blip-blip-blip" sound

and benga uses albino btw descending sounds like a saturated square wave with some dig wave added. Also sounds like he's using the cream filter and having lfo modulating the distortion on the filter as well as cut off

Have been trying to come up with similar bass sounds to those in Goblin & Spongebob by Coki and the main bass sound in Cybermen by Magnetic Man, any help would be awsome cheers!

My way of getting something sound "electric" is using several different short delays as insert effects. And with short, I mean short - like 12ms, 16ms and 20ms, make sure they are pretty dry.

EDIT: Make sure to put a limiter on the channel because when you are using multiple delays, the gain goes up really fast. (I blew up my hi-fi speakers while working with delay/chorus - forgot to put a limiter.... )
