2 ting:
1) Mighty's system is fuckin' amazing and this is probably gonna be... well, amazing.
2) However, the phrasing in the quote above - that Professor is "the dub legend behind... Lee Scratch Perry" - WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?! I have nothing but love for both Scratch & Professor, but saying that the latter was the guy 'behind the music' for Scratch is high dub heresy.
They've collaborated, but never in a million years would anybody be able to say truthfully that Professor was responsible for Scratch's sound. Scratch was recording like 20 years before Professor dropped his first record.
Just sayin'.

1) Mighty does have a great sound system...even in the side room where some of the other DJ's will be playing. Should be a great show indeed!
2) True dat. I think Sunset was referring to Mad Prof being behind recent Lee Perry vocal releases??? Mad Professor (and Adrian Sherwood) are the 2 producers who come to my mind on Perry's recent vocal albums since he moved to Switzerland. No doubt Lee Perry is a pioneer in Roots/Dub well before Mad Prof....in fact he was one of the 1st to record/produce/discover Bob Marley before Marley jumped on board w/ Coxsone Dodd @ Studio 1...

Yes yes folks its on tonight! this is where all the music you are listening to came from...
in reference to the above, I think everyone agrees there were many others before Mad Prof such as King Tubby, Lee Scratch, Jammys, etc but that Mad Prof has been behind recent Perry productions as well as far as reigning Dub masters he along side Jah Shaka, Adrian Sherwood and others is one of the few living legends!

I'll be there.
What will the local guys be playing? I've only been in SF for about a month and a half, but I expect good things. I assume some ds since this is the dsf....
How big is the venue?
Thanks.

I know Mighty can hold 700+. There's a main room, side room, & an outdoor smoking area
From my understanding the set times are:
Main Room
Maneesh 10-12
Mad Prof 12
Vadim 2
Side Room
U9lift 11-12
Daneekah 12-1
Lud Dub 1-2:30ish (I'll be playing multi genres including dubstep)
