Im defiantly in. I feel like we get tons of outside talent...the worlds best dubstep djs to our beautiful cities, but i think there should be a way to get Canadian talent spread internally... i've tried to reach out to djs in edmonton but so far no noize... i wish everybody had the same aesthetic as the Lethbridge garage rock bands: Community.daneford wrote:We should all start up an exclusively Canadian music collective/non-profit label that focuses on dubstep and the surrounding genres (grime, dancehall, dub, DnB, etc.)
If nothing else it should at least be a good spot for people to get a sense of Canadian dubstep talent. But I think it could have a lot more potential.

Lorn's a good friend! he's always up on the sickest sounds... I remember a few years back on new years when he was playing the Modeselektor remix of Blazin' and thinking that: "this is a sound ive never heard before.".... this was way before anyone was really hitting dub tunes in calgary except for a mix done by Dan... Crazy times, so glad to see him getting shows like FlyLo and Rusko...maximus wrote:Lorne B from calgary is a sick dubstep dj who hasn't been mentioned

Canadian dubstep has really come up the past 2 years. Between that and bottled water it's becoming hard to hate our neighbors to the north anymore :p

I blame the maple syrup.
And for the record, Max Ulis isn't Canadian. The more he looks like jesus, the more he is a child of the world
