was at this, too many youts trying to bring mephadrone in to the club, then they caught some knives on the door then someone got stabbed just outside the venue. Weird night, hope whoever it was is ok. But why bring knives to a dubstep thing dont get it atall.

In short because its a 16+ event. I hear that 16+ events are bitch to do anyways because kids of that age are a lot more hassle for the venue and more security is required etc.

I take my hat off to the 'Dubfreaks' guys. It takes a lot of hard work to run a night let alone a 16+ one.

Protection. A lot of kids carry knives for protection too which seems pretty retarded to be honest. Thank god this knife shit doesn't spill over to adulthood. Personally if they want to knife each other and waste their lives then good luck to them.

Yeah, I heard Stratford Rex can be a bit rough. I'm planning on going to the 'Highly Blessed' shindig there with Quest & Silkie etc. Is it safe or would you advise avoiding it?

this is true, but the antisocial nature of this extreme side of jump up doesnt help either.

problem is, with the powers old bill have now, if dubstep continues to get a bad name thanks to these little pratts, more and more events will get locked off due to 'safety fears'.

I think we have a long way to go before we see the kind of reaction from police that we saw with the London Garage scene in the early 2000s. Guaranteed these youts would have turned up if the event had been Garage, Grime or Drum and Bass, the key element in my opinion is the over 16+ door policy. I would be interested to know the ages of the people involved in the instances of violence, i'd hazard a guess that they would be too young to get into DMZ.

i'll be truely honest & say ive been there 3 times..... twice to mc convention (which is highly blessed) 1st time was one of the best nights of my life second time i wished id stayed at home.... i swear the crowd were willing to fight (and did a fair few times) for the mcs/djs who they preffered. cant remember what the other night was but it was AGGY to say the least.... i wouldnt wana say dont go coz u could have a really good night (highly blessed ones normally are) but i would be really careful who u look at wrongly if u do....

thats my 2p's worth. lol
