Fuck yeah. The Hycid mix of "Templar" blew my socks off when I first heard it... so good. I PM'd him once (not here) and he seems like a really nice dude too. The thing I love about this tune in particular is the melodic variation & progression - an actual song with different parts, not just a single theme rinsed out ad nauseum.

Nice to see you around here!

Just a question, how did you get the modulation on that rich ass bass on the video posted above? Whats your tool of trade, i use massive and have got similar results mangling with the wavetable position.
Its it just pitch modulation and resampling???

Cheers in advance! :)

All the percussion-bass in Templar are made from a kick (808, 909 etc...)

For the reese bassline, I've made a simple reese in a basic synth (don't remember the vst, but I didn't use NI Massive synth at this time) and I bounced a long note in wav format. Then its a matter of saturator/distortion, EQ/filter and layer for made "solid reese".

After, I split the "solid reese" (several times... one for the low-frq, one or two for the mid-frq, etc..) for more modulation effects (phaser/flanger, automation/lfo to various filter types, reverb/delay etc...) on different frequency ranges and repeting this process a few times.

:a: don't use stereo fx for the low-frq ! just made a good mono sub. :W:

@ Netrik :

The final version of "Proton Collider" will be out in autumn or winter on 12" vinyl and digital.
Releasing on a "new forward-thinking bass music label"...artists and release details will be revealed soon !
But I'm sure you'll like the other artists, you already know some of them ;)

Otherwise, I'm working on two tracks (maybe less dark and funkiest) for Airflex Labs : http://airflexlabs.com/

and 2 other tracks, more experimental (with piano, heavy bass and acousmatic sound), for an other label... "Insomnia" is one of them... but the second tune needs more work and time... its a very delicate exercise because is a reinterpretation of a work by Bach.

About Dubcore, I will like to make a Dubcore EP with the old tune played by Jeff Excision and new stuff.
I have two months vacation to work all of this :)
I hope to have a lots of new things to offer in September/October

Thanks to All.

I use FL Studio since 1998 and a lot of vst, Cool Edit to edit/cut, Wavelab to analyze my sound and have a visual representation.
