Have a present. Boards of Canada attempt

Post by MidnightMassDubstep » Fri Apr 16, 2010 8:33 pm

I decided to spend an hour or so trying to create some boards of canada sounds with albino 3 and slicing some drums.
It's not very good, sorry about that but it's the best I can do. You should probably try just adding some bitcrushing on top of everything to get that crunchy nostalgiac sound. I'm by no means an expert (or any good at all) but I thought I'd try and give something back to this brilliant forum which has taught me so much over the past year or so.

Anyway, Included are some synth samples (Just C at a few octaves) a drum loop or 2 and the original Albino 3 Patches for the sounds. It's not massive but yeah.

Enjoy,
Fixxa.

I've never been able to finish a whole track of it myself... I always find it hard to finish a track if it's not 140bpm with the snare on the 3. trying to snap out of it though.

i love love love this dude

Interesting sounds. To get more of that BoC feel try running all your sounds through a shitty old old stereo amp or the pre-amps on a reel to reel.

People seem to really obsess over them. I have a friend who is almost...crippled because of it. Musically, not like they chopped off his legs.
