Well you lose the naming contest but thats another story. The synth got the energy levels right from the off. Like the clattering snare sound, but the white noise counterpoint thing didn't do it for me. A melody line like this is hard to get right without sounding a bit cheesy (Zomby - Rumours and Revolutions is the one that does it best for me) but this one sounds pretty slick, variation keeps it interesting too. Well done too for creating a sound for the melody thats different to the others, sets the track apart. The switch up at 1:53 is fun but that white noise is still distracting me! I love the combination of the ascending atmoshperic noises and the crazy new melody that comes in with this final section.
 I stand by my track names!

Nice one N3ON : )

Looking fwd to yer pack ;) Any idea when the next one will be starting? I'm kinda glad that we've gone back to the old style of voting.
As long as nobody fucks about like the time that changed the voting process I think this is definitely the way to go ;)
Big ups to all!
Debut album "Bass, Space, Pace & Peace" out now on Methodology Recordings!
Cheers to all supporters and those who've dropped tracks in their shows!! :e:

HAHA! Who the hell even voted for it? I never thought it would make it that "far". I admit the horns are very squeaky/annoying. I really intended to give a rather humorous feel to it, though. Had tons of fun, glad some people feel it. (At least I, during the production, literally sat there laughing most of the time).
alphacat wrote:Also think (and this is not an insult) that you could probably do pop songs too - I think you have the sensibility to do it well, anyway.
Haha! Been a long time since I wrote in major. Usually never make tunes like that. Maybe I'll try and do more often.

Thanks for all the feedback, guys. And yes, it's actually "Critters", not "Creatures".

In case anyone's interested, I uploaded the full version (7:22) on my SoundCloud. (Yep, I misread the rules at first). It's pretty repetitive, though.

I'll definately try to join the next one, too.
Congrats N3ON!
I had a small detour.

 Yea man I could picture that actually - Some producer sat infront of his comp with a cheeky grin on his chops, swaying about like a loony
Had a very different feel and approach than the other tunes too. I was close to voting for it purely because of that and the humour that was present :e:
