Earliest known tearout/dudestep tune?

Post by wehlfest » Mon Apr 19, 2010 4:05 am

I'm curious about the evolution of this sound. I found some Cookie Monsta tracks from 2008, but I'm sure there is stuff that dates earlier to that. No opinions here please, just curious.

Any info.? Thanks.

Just realized that I wrote "evolution of this sound."

Prob. should have omitted that part. Or can be taken as sarcasm. :)

These sound pretty tame compared to the stuff out now but I think these tunes made a statement at the time.

Cockney Thug oviously wasn't the first heavy tearout tune, but it was the first one that I can remember really dividing people...

i think the sound has existed since the start, it just didn't become a thing until later with brostep and all that
i might be wrong though

I love Coki too much to call his music 'tearout' or 'dudestep.' Despite it's brilliance it's certainly a precursor to a lot of the shit that's happened though.

Sorry to bring my opinion into this.
