There's definitely more of a 'typical' old street crowd at fwd these days... but i've never been precious about that kinda thing... unless one of those bastards spills my pint!

yeah definitely. only thing is that this means quite a few people arent there for the music, and even worse, arent prepared to be open minded. it annoys me sometimes when you find people are bein too 'try-hard' when all they need to worry about is the bass! couldnt believe my ears when i went to fwd at the end of the summer and walked into the girls bathroom to hear five girls standin around bitchin about what a crap night and venue it was! only reason they were hangin around was for the guys that theyd come with. one of them started complainin about how no one was buyin her any drinks, then whilst i was washin my hands said, 'excuse me, do you want to buy me a drink, ive got no money'. cheeky mare!!

phew.

anyway, if someone wants to make birthday cake that's fine by me - jus make sure you put lots of the special ingredient!

there used to be a unofficial door policy at fwd about not letting in suits. now it's trickier to tell who's not really there for the music.

reminds me of when me and my mate went to see kode9 at cargo a few months back... 99% of the people were there to see the junior boys and once they had finished the whole venue pretty much cleared out til it was only us two and a couple of others shanking out to kode9 in a big empty hall. a few guys in suits came in and after listening to music for a bit one of them came up to us and went "hey guys, what IS this music?! isn't he ever going to change the beat?". So we kinda went like this

in his face and i'm pretty sure he got the message after that... well he didn't question us about the music again anyway.

i dunno about all this

judging someone if theyre chatting breeze like that is one thing, but just on the grounds of appearances is a road im not feeling. i went redstar in a suit a few weeks back (straight from work), and i hate to think that people would be looking at me and thinking eurgh whats he doing here hes got no place, he's just jumping on bandwagon or whatever, and same goes for fwd

i agree that people with shit attitudes aren't what you want, but (cliche) you cant judge books by their covers
