'A Best of Digital Mystikz and Loefah' Mix
I stumbled across this a few days ago, doesn't look like it's made it onto the forum yet. It's a really extensive collection of the above mentioned, though I take no credit for it. Full credit goes to the DJ in question (Kper).

Anti War Dub / Haunted is DMZ007 though.
Good to see shake up your demons in there. That tune doesn't get enough praise.

Just had a thought - maybe it was on purpose, but it would have been so good if some previews of back2space could have been worked in.

Re: 'A Best of Digital Mystikz and Loefah' Mix
Are you
because you think it's amazing or because it's not worthy...? Plus, i listened about 12 minutes through and got kind of pissed off with the way it was being mixed through, the tunes speak for themselves so i think it should be as minimal mixing as possible.

Re: 'A Best of Digital Mystikz and Loefah' Mix
tracklist is huge, also are the vocals that keep appearing throughout the mix from an interview if so does anyone have a link to it? And the effects that keep getting used does anyone know what there from? eg an effect pad or built into the mixer or whatever?
Re: 'A Best of Digital Mystikz and Loefah' Mix

Re: 'A Best of Digital Mystikz and Loefah' Mix
definitely some the most annoying mixing I have ever heard
as the one dude said above, it is trying way too hard, and not doing ANY of the tracks justice... needs to be mixed as minimally and smoothly as possible, less of this overlap and importing sound bites and shit - its a mess

Re: 'A Best of Digital Mystikz and Loefah' Mix
Hey,
The interview samples are from Mala's RBMA interview in 08 with Benji B (highlights are on youtube, thats where i got most of Mala's stuff), and the Loefah ones are from an american interview which is on youtube too.
As for the person asking about the effects they're done using the dblueglitch and audio damage delay plugins, running in ableton. the whole thing was mixed in ableton as my decks and records (including my DMZ collection) is in storage.
And for those who don't like the mixing fair enough. Horse for courses. Glad some people like it, it was made for a friend who's never heard any DMZ.

nicely done kper, this is an awesome collage of the DMZ crew, love the way you put some of their quotes from various sources in there!
lol @ the people telling you how these should have been mixed, they're free to make any mix they want and to stop moaning about yours...
big ups!
