Ecstasy Rising

Post by zhawkins91 » Sat Apr 24, 2010 2:55 am

Hi!
My name is Zach and I just started writing/producing in my free time at college. I joined this site to get some opinions of people who have a passion for dubstep.
Anyways here is one of my tracks.
It includes clips from Peter Jenning's "Ecstasy Rising" documentary and drops about 2 minutes in, then pulls back and finishes of with a second round.

Cheers!
Zach

i like the bass. drums could be helped and that synth in it doesn't seem to fit in their as well as it could so id say at least try a different sound for it

Right on, I've been working out the drums for a little bit, and yeah I agree with you, they were pretty weak. I'll play around with the synth a little later
Thanks for the feedback!

woah! this weird. my last name is also hawkins, and i sampled this same documentary about a year ago! lol
i used the part where he says "they don't just like this drug, they almost love this drug" then the part that says "sheldon called it window, he thought it was like looking at the world the way it really was." and then he says something like, mdma washes away those fears and anxietys, and you see the world the way it really is, its a marvelous experience, i highly recommend it. and then it drops lol. also for a break i through in "thats what mdma does"

i like your song though. its pretty good
Image Image Image Image <--- you click on em... come on, it's fun!

I'm not trying to make dubstep, it just comes out sounding that way...
I don't know what's going on! I guess I'm just stuck on this cool new wobble idea i came up with...
