nah, it's not about that, i agree. just back in the monthly thursday days there was a bit of a problem with these city boys coming in and not feeling the music, being obnoxious etc.

ultimately i don't care who rolls through fwd as long as they enjoy the music and don't get aggy. problem is recently more and more people seem to care less about the music, as illustrated above.

True say, but more derkheads have been turning up. They should make it like if you're wearing pointy shoes or a cravat, you're not comin in.

why? cos pointy shoed people cant appreciate electronic music? cos cravats equal narrow-mindedness?! surely not everyone has to wear camo jackets and baggy jeans...

i know what you're all saying, and its weak that the vibe is being diluted by people not there for the reasons we'd like, but its a shame if that tips over into prejudice

city boys spend money.
thats good for the scene.
they may not listen to rinse or buy the cd's / vinyls but they will buy the bar...
most've them will get scared off anyway or be too hammered to really understand whats going on

Not at all, but all the people like this that I've encountered down there have been dickheads.

I definately agree with people against the people who are just turning up for hot guys/girls or whatever but lets not get too critical or judgemental just yet! I've got a couple of fairly posey mates that turn up dressed the part and all who are all really into the music! Even though they aren't keen 12" collectors and all that.... But it right pisses me off when there are drunk people running about acting like fools. Last weekend some woman who was probably 26 or something like that started throwing herself at my mate who's 17 and started putting her hands down him and all that. No one needs that sort at their clubs! Anyway if anyone sees a small lad with a stripey jumper come over and say Hi cos I haven't really met anyone off the forum yet and I'm fairly quiet.

Agreed! Anyone who's ever really loved a club's going to be hyper aware of whether its changing or getting worse or being overrun by drunk eejits. But far as I'm concerned FWD is the best weekly club I've been to in years. Not sure what it's doing for my hearing tho...

Fon't be shy, just say hi. And if you can't find kid cazual (who's well friendly, honest) then make yourself a ninja style reference map of pics from the what do you look like thread and go on a mission to introduce yourself to at least one person. seems like a friendly place for the nice peeps to me.

Actually I think it's mostly in my left I'm feeling it too. Something to do with that left hand side spot? Perhaps there needs to be week on, week off movement between left and right to spread the damage...
