Hes not out of order asking is he? after all google isnt going to tell you what the best sample CD/Series are is it now???

Personally i have a soft spot for the Vengence series. they are VERY dancefloor orientated and sold as House and trance packs, but you get some real good sh!t out of them. Very well engineered and punchy. Say no more

i'm all for asking questions but come the fuck on here.

the thread is titled samples and that's what he wrote. no indication is given of the instruments he wants or what style he would prefer. no he simply asks for good samples.

the equivalent would be me going on a movie forum and going "hey recommend me some good films".

Jeeeeeeeesus. I always post here but ive never seen such elitist bullshit in all my time.

Its a dubstep forum, so im guessing hes looking for dubstep drum samples...
Yellowhighlighter, no need to be so confrontational man. its a perfectly ok question in the first place.

Nothing confrontational about Yellows post at all. The question would have been fine had he not said "I havent bothered to search online yet"

I'll remind you of this Dep, when you flame some poor tnuc for asking how to make wobbles.

@Op - This is a link in the production bible to hundreds of sample sites http://www.dubstepforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=55078

i get alot of my samples (all my solo work is 100% sample based) from production forums for all sorts of genres. ive gotten great sounds from trance forums breaks forums dnb hip hop etc. there are a million music forums and a lot of them have threads wich contain a huge list of free sample sites(many contain broken links but you just gotta keep tryin) ill go to these free sites and grab as many of the sounds as i can and sort the good form the bad then put them on my sample drive. Im one of those dudes who has 300+gb of samples. the key is think outside the box get off dubstep forums and dnb forums for the most part and look for threads where its "post cool samples you made" etc. also there are entire sites for sample swapping user generated content, sign up for a few of those....uhh ohh now my secrets out! lol. happy sample hunting.

Also dont be too cheap, some of the sample cds for sale are really great and may contain a bunch of sounds your after, for example i was having a hard time recreating breakdown fx and risers and booms and fancy crashes so i bought a super dope pack of all those kind of sounds and im really stoked on them.
