Re: avatard the movie
I loved it....too easy to be reactionary to EVERYTHING mega popular....this was though above all else a cinema experience and not something i will watch at home...
the story is very positive in intricate details not usually prevalent in blockbusters in this day & age....we are in a dark age of extreme materialism and a populist film with a message such as this is a beacon imho

You went to see a Hollywood blockbuster by James Cameron expecting to gain IQ points?deadly habit wrote:i feel like i lost iq points watching this
Take the movie for what is, a mundane storyline helping to stick together bits of very impressive and pretty graphics. Don't think anyone should have expected more going in, and I don't think most people did.

I'm excited about it just because it's going to be a visual wank fest. STILL haven't seen it, but I wanna save myself to go see it at the London Imax.
this. and it was a visual wank fest. and i wasnt even high. i said it was basically fern gully after i saw it, but the 3d and the sound were really enjoyable in the imax theatre

Munchies on the other hand...
Re: avatard the movie
I have the courtesy to take all my Twizzlers out of the bag and lay them on my lap before the start, so that the wrapper crinkling will not disturb people. Its simple stuff like this, or I guess for the Nacho crowd, chew ing with your mouth closed would solve that problem. Of course that's asking way to much from people.DRTY wrote:Yeah this pisses me off majorly too.kay wrote:damn movie-watching-nacho-munchers. Re: avatard the movie
wouldn't think it was good if I never saw the 3d version
well, its not good, but the 3d is very, watchable
had me sitting up looking over the edges of cliffs and shit and tilting my head around with the action on some hyper alert type
like flight simulation imo

Thought it was a thoroughly enjoyable cinema experience, but no... I don't intend on watching it on my tv.

Re: avatard the movie
it was good only because of how it looked. the story is plain shithouse.
explains why it won like 0 awards..
his ex wife went and made a movie 100x better won heaps of awards. but made a shitload less..
