All of my mates, except for three, like metal.

I let people find their way.

If they are interested in music they will dig deeper.
Don’t worry about people stealing an idea. If it’s original, you will have to ram it down their throats.

I think convert is the wrong word. We aren't some dubstep cult brainwashing people to liking our music! I do tell people what i listen to though and give a few names so they can listen to them. If they like it i'll tell them more and who to check out but if they don't mention it then fair enough. I just don't like people who 'force' the music they listen to down other peoples necks, thinking they have a superior music taste or something.

To be honest though ive never felt the need to convert someone to the music i listen to. Most of my mates listen to all sorts of stuff and its good when we all recommend people from all different genres. It'll be a shame if we all listened to dubstep because then we'd be listen to the same shit all the time.

just my 2 cents

I got a lot of people into dubstep, most of my lot are all into different aspects of the sound which is refreshing when we all get together for a big mix.

one that i got to appreciate the original stuff, a few others who never bothered when i was into it to begin with and now seem to be jumping on the youtube-step bollocks. :?
A musician must make music, an artist must paint, a poet must write, if he is to be ultimately at peace with himself. What a man can be, he must be.

i've introduced quite some metal friends to dubstep actually , you just give em some midrange dirty basslines and they'll be like 'hey this kinda sounds like metal'...
It's those pop-lovers that refuse to listen to dubstep ;)
