this. rewinds should always be determined by a crowds reaction, seen too many dj's rewinding tracks for their own reasons :?

Some tunes actually do deserve a rewind (NOT SWEET SHOP!)

But yeah dont rewind it all the way back to the beggining if its a long ass intro. Try and get it back to the break before the drop if possible.....otherwise people are just standing around listening to not alot.

Yeah songs like that really are not rewind material. Those kind of drops are really annoying as wel.

if the crowd is going nuts and calling for it, rewind it, otherwise don't. Simple as that really. Ruins the flow of sets otherwise.

The tune in the video shouldn't have been reloaded because 1) there was next to no crowd reaction, 2) they already played the full intro so the second time round is just tedious and 3) the tune is shit.

it's just another part of being a DJ you can be good or bad at innit.
Wheel up repeatedly because you're coked up and feel like god and assume every track you play deserves it and you look like a tit.
rewind just as the crowd are about to jump to hyperspace on a tune they never heard before and everyone's screaming for it and you ARE God for a few seconds.

;)

It's all about teasing people innit... and if you tease someone too much eventually they just get pissed off and go somewhere else.

Gotta agree, there is nothing better than a huge rewind on a huge track, But! its like effects and everything

less is more. You hear that one rewind all night for that one huge tune and you love it, then u remember it and appriciate it

so much more. Any more and it doesnt have the effect and gets boring.

Isn't rewinds a vital part of the dubplate and soundsystem culture? If it is then it also is for dubstep. When it comes to the crappy music and vibe in the OP - who cares.

I love a rewind when it's warranted. But rewinds ruined the last DMZ for me.
