I just have to say as an old man with beard that I do not agree with the other bitter old men in here. 99% of the most important music ever has been made by "kids" and I am a bit jealous that I didn't have the tools when I was young that you guys do today. That naive excitement about music that I once had is completely gone. I fight with myself constantly while writing tunes because I am jaded and there is nothing I can do about it. It is just something that comes with age. Also my chance to "make it" at least in the way I think that means is no longer an opportunity. Anyway my point is never let some crusty old man put you down. The shit you are doing now isn't for old people, but they will be old some day and then you may get that respect you deserve.

I wasn't referring to mt. eden as brostep, I don't think mt eden is brostep, correct me if I'm wrong. A lot of brostep is masterfully produced with bucketsful of blood, sweat and tears.

My point is, as I stated, the mere fact that something receives wide public attention does not make it worthwhile. To put it more simply in jon's terms, despite the fact that mt. eden is total shit, everyone seems to have heard about it.

And to make it absolutely explicit: The fact that everyone has heard brostep does not make brostep worthwhile.
