Literally everyone I first went to high school with jumped on the 'dubstep' band wagon about a year ago. Some guy called Larry McCarthy who promotes for UTR got them into it.
I saw him post on someones wall quite a while back. So I argued with him. Then he started posting shit like Funtcase etc, along with the filthy comments. I hope this dies out.Skream, Benga, Caspa & Rusko are the only dubstep artists you need to know about

Yeah it has nothing to do with age, just ignorance or stereotyped ideas of what 'dubstep' (wobbles and such) is so that when confronted with 'real dubstep' (hate using that term) they think because it doesnt sound like what their preconceived idea of dubstep is it therefore isnt dubstep or isnt 'filthy'.
I'm still not legally old enough to go to nights but still do of course, and plently of people I know who are as young as 14 or 15 who listen to dubstep arent like this at all.

So at some point in the not-so-distant future, you're gonna go to the store to look for, say, some sneakers - and then log in to FB later only to be targeted with ads galore for the very same.Cameras that can follow you from the minute you enter a store to the moment you hit the checkout counter, recording every T-shirt you touch, every mannequin you ogle, every time you blow your nose or stop to tie your shoelaces ... Web coupons embedded with bar codes that can identify, and alert retailers to, the search terms you used to find them and, in some cases, even your Facebook information and your name...

That's EXACTLY what I'm talking about. Scary stuff - the CIA/DOD/DARPA connections alone are enough to make me glad I stripped all the info from my account and left.

Re: Annoying Facebook posts
Im sure your intelligence agencies have something up their sleeves as well... think about the implications of your society TELLING you what they're doing, constantly? No spying needed!! Way too tempting for any serious organization to pass up, in my opinion.gnome wrote:What about us Brits?alphacat wrote:That's EXACTLY what I'm talking about. And either way, i'm sure you Brits dont want the CIA/DOD/NSA/DARPA knowing your every move, let alone your local govt.
However, just imagine how much "baby momma drama" and other bullshit they have to sift through to find anything pertinent!!!

Its amazing how much information people put there without realising.
But I doubt its just facebook.
I should start reading small print.
Re: Annoying Facebook posts
A year ago I was 17 and I went to one of these because someone gave me a free ticket. I'm not claiming I'm more mature then anyone else my age but what time I spent not dancing I noticed that the majority of guys where just stalking girls to dance with, a few girls I was with felt extremely uncomfortable that night. Although a lot of the girls didn't seem to mind this. Also I spotted a bunch of 13 year olds. Really though, it may not be the age (even though what I saw would say otherwise), I just think its the night and the sort of people it attracts.fergus222 wrote:Yeah it has nothing to do with age, just ignorance or stereotyped ideas of what 'dubstep' (wobbles and such) is so that when confronted with 'real dubstep' (hate using that term) they think because it doesnt sound like what their preconceived idea of dubstep is it therefore isnt dubstep or isnt 'filthy'.

Right on bruv. Some people experience a weird withdrawal, but it's usually fleeting (when you're really bored) and doesn't last more than a week. Go make a song instead!danrev wrote:Just deactivated my profile.
