Oh shit! Thats why people I've been trying to push the sound on havn't been feelin it that much. Always wonderd why there was a round thing on the music player thingy and these things were square shaped, all makes sense now.

I agree with the play it as you feel it. Also, don't limit yourself by genre or timeline... what i mean is if the track fits and you are feeling it, play it. I think Joe Nice is a good example of playing dubstep in a way where you know he is feeling the tracks, and there are some suprises. "Voices inside my head" anyone?

Most importantly, have fun.

Just makes me start knocking shit over and stopping the wrong deck etc

As for how to do it, just go with the flow fella. Each to their own when it comes to style, I personally love N-Type's style with double drops galore. Just keep the tunes in time and your away lol

been there done that.....its not always bad, if you double drop them nicely and take one out at a poignant place…

although I have never been paid more than a nifty to spin so perchance that is why :o)

the great thing about dubstep is that you can do what you want. I personally wanna hear some scratching and beat juggling at the raves. and chuck in a few non dubstep tunes to liven it up. bit of ragga or oldschool jungle. why not? just go for it man.

Alright all u knuckleheadz..... Got it together... Lets just say my next podcast mix will be a bit of dubstep... Been workin out my style, doing mad shit like scratchin on certain parts & bringin back certain sounds while tracks are rollin.. Mixing style: Smooth transitions that lets each track dance off one another for a long bit. It should be good! Thanks to all that gave serious replies. Oi!

Exactly...

Throw in some grime riddims too. Like 5 dubstep rollers then something like Bearman - Drinking Beer, Waifer - Grime, Danny Weed - Creeper.. anything with a different energy.
Might see me goin on safe and pally

Play it loud with maximum bass!... I like the more smooth mixes but quick cuts and effects etc work aswell, i like the odd double drop if the tune is rowdy enough..anything goes really...true to most things about dubstep.
But do it however the hell you want (within reason! ha)

in case anyone is still looking:
luke's advice
basic but necessary.
like everyone has said, tho, it is really about personal flavor.
