turntables coffin cases
so I have to technics 1210s and i am getting a numark m2 mixer which i have read is 13.5 inches wide... flight cases seem to come with 10inch, 12inch or 19inch mixer spaces. it seems a bit excessive to get a 19inch mixer space for a 13.5 inch mixer, does anyone know if it would fit into a 12inch mixer space?

mixer: http://www.amazon.co.uk/NUMARK-M2-DJ-MI ... B001EO2SRE
has anyone got experience using this size mixer with a flight case? i dont want to buy both and then end up having to change one of them cos they dont fit together

Re: turntables coffin cases
Take a look at the foam pads on the corners of the case, if the corners have that extra layer of foam you might be able to shave some off and make it fit. That being said I have a TT500 in a 1200 case and I just forced the sucker in and over time the foam shaped itself to the deck.
So yeah you can probably make it fit. Although getting a 19" would be a good excuse to get a kaos pad or some other fx to fill up the space.

coffins are awful to move. much easier to deal w/ 3 separate flight cases.

really? i thought it would be much harder to carry 3 cases than one bigger case, and i can keep them in it all the time.Sharmaji wrote:coffins are awful to move. much easier to deal w/ 3 separate flight cases.
