this board needs an attitude adjustment

Post by cloak and dagger » Thu May 06, 2010 1:25 pm

I haven't read this board in a few days and just read through the first page. Not gonna name names, but I've honestly never seen a production forum with such a bad collective attitude, especially by so many of the regulars I see complaining about this board. Feel free to act how you want, but at the same time don't wonder why you don't see a lot of new blood on here. It's also worth thinking about why YOU post here and what your motivations are.

Also, feel free to ignore this thread; I'm only posting it because I don't want to see it go to shit and would really like to keep posting here, and I'm sure there's others who feel the same. And I'm sure I've been a dick on occasion, so I'm definitely not exempt from my advice either.

Have a good day! :t:

Do you read The Grid? I very rarely see any bad attitudes on there unless it's two guys with beef, and people are WAY more helpful overall. And I've been reading both of these boards since they started. Looking at The Grid right now, I don't see any of the dickishness that seems like a regular thing around here...so I can't agree with you there.

I'm learning to just not post anything unless its a question you REALLY need the answer to and can't find the answer anywhere else. Otherwise you risk being flamed and ridiculed

i agree...i joined in October and back then this forum was filled with good, helpful advice. It seems these days when someone asks a question they ether get spammed, the thread gets hijacked by some bullshit tangent or they get the old "do you not know how to use the search function". Stop bitching about people not using the search function, in the same amount of time it takes you to bitch at them you could have easily answered the question or given them a little advice. Its like wtf!!! this forum is here to help people

nothing to do with OP but sorta seems like the same people who are now bitching about things were all about being 'in' and posted pacas only a month ago. people take this forum way too seriously and that's why trolls post here so much as it is: it's funny watching some of you get so bent out of shape over it. easy targets, and that's not a good look either.

lest we all forget: this is an internet forum. it's filled with useful bits and gems of production candy, so use what you will and make good tunes. otherwise sit back, have a laugh, and enjoy your life. there's no need to be getting so worked up over a message board.

I only signed up today and have read around on here, and I have to agree... There is some complete asshole behaviour on here. But on the question thing your right, in the time it takes someone to reply an insult or "use search function" they could have just been helpful and answered the question... Obviously they have nothing better to do if they take the time to reply with a jerkoff attitude...

We actually should be helping one another on here and if you are not in the helpful mood then dont reply to someones question just to run them down because people wont just sit there and let your insults go they will attack back and thus brings the entire community down.

Just either be helpful or dont reply...

yeah, some people will actually bitch if you post something off topic, and then go and post something off topic themselves, which is kinda funny.
