guys, this place and this scene is what we make of it -- don't spend your time saying "goddamn it, this ain't what i wanted, this is shit!"

instead take it for what it is and add your energy to it. if you are tired of DSF, fine -- but don't complain about it and add negative energy which takes away from the efforts of those of us who are trying to enjoy it. yes there are stupid sub genres and bullshit elitists-- they make me laugh.
What the hell was that quote?
no idea. a very good friend told it to me, and i find it helps me make sense of the times when things aren't right. there seems to be a deep truth about the nature of things in it. not sure if makes any sense to anyone else.

Nope, it sounds mental to me.

In all honesty, I don't actually get this thread. Admittedly it's gone down hill, but it seems to have some real input coming in almost in argument to views in this thread. Plus this is a place highly talented artists congregate.

I think this divide in sound is causing a lot of friction too. I have to admit it's annoying, especially since I first heard dubstep when I was just 13 from one of my mates down in London. But all in all we have to accept it as it is.

It'd be a real shame if this forum died because it's something people read, laugh at, argue about. It's basically the best magazine in the world but full of people you can fully exchange views and tunes with.

Depone wrote:Me and deadly were discussing that this forum should be like the lifted music forums, to enter the production forum, you must ask a moderator for acess with examples of your music. Seriously this sounds dickish, but it worked so well back on lifted music forum. no reposts, quality advice and great production help.
You cannot possibly be serious are you? I mean that is blatantly going to create a lot of tension among users. Lets not even forget its only an internet forum, it is not exactly MI5 or house of commons... Maybe some take it too seriously on here, but lets not get ahead of what this site really is... A music forum not a site that gives human organs on a first come first served basis.

I am very serious about my music, whether it conforms to conventional Dubstep or not I make it for me and for those who like to listen... not to sell or get a record deal... Its my music and personal to me,,, If I have a production question I will ask it if I cannot find it posted previously on another thread...

But I really dont think its a good Idea to chastise newer members and those who have just started in Dubstep... Lets be honest here guys, we should be helping each other to build this genre if that means repeating the same advice over and over again where is the big deal? I know it gets boring repeating but at the end of the day we should be standing together and building Dubstep up not attacking new members who may have asked something that has been asked like 100 times.

My point here is, this is a community no one has the right to tell another person not to ask a question whether has been asked before or not. We are all members, let the moderators deal with repeat questions, but we have no right to attack one another on here for asking a question. This should be a friendly community open to any question, the only forum I have found that is truly friendly is Mp3unsigned...

Maybe we should exercise a little patience with newer members, and dont reply to a question if you feel its been asked before.

I agree with the trolls thing though, those that post replies and that to state fights and so on... We should target those people, not a new member who genuinely needs help in our genre of music guys!!

Of course this is just My view on it all... :z:

well basically i'm saying, y'all need to stop bitching about the production forum turning to shit, because that only makes it more true.
