Im not a hypocrite, I stand by what I have said... There are some assholes on here, but im not calling everyone that, im calling those who are assholes, assholes... there is a wide margin of difference there,

I just think if people had more patience with others on here then it would be a great community... Look at Mp3Unsigned, some of the best guys I have met on there, great artists. I have heard a lot of peoples music on here and its great also, so I just dont understand why people are being jerks... if your sick of the same question being asked then just walk away from it and post nothing...

It is really that simple...

I am not trying to incite arguments on here, im merely stating what many others have... and I am far from being a hypocrite too, there is a difference between calling someone an asshole and calling someone who is an asshole one... Im not branding everyone as that however. I think we all know there are assholes on here that post a lot of bollocks.

And no I have been bullied or intimidated, but if I was, I wouldnt sit back and take it nonetheless.
haha i'm not saying this from within the elite crowd, but i think most of the people here that say 'the elites' are twats and such huge assholes are overexaggerating quite a bit and was probably because their feelings got hurt from their first post or something. there's some bad attitudes, especially towards noobs, but this place is pretty fucking tame. the regulars are chill as fuck once you prove that you can post on this forum in a mature manner, and again it's really only ever when someone is acting a fool or being a twat doth the hatred arise from the "elite" haha

i guess do what you will. but be warned, not everyone in life plays nice, its up to you to make the best of it

this thread is a ball-ache, im done defending this shitty forum

Informant : but, see, using the search is pretty important in keeping things from going crazy. Its why I registered a Google Custom Search for DSf n posted it, becuase I agree we need a more accurate search function of rhe production forum. However. I have to disagree with your negative attitude towards bro-step vs. deep arguement, as dude, it sounds to me like you posted a datsik thread and we told you to search for your answer. Its been covered to the point Sharma stickied it. Sorry if we dont wanna go over it again for you special like.

And bro-step is kinda a catchy term to describe aggro-step. The hard, nasty, distorted wobbles. Youll find msot people on here who use that word (myself included) are ismply using it because we see that newer, aggro-step stuff is very different then the dubby/garagey sounds that exist beside it. I personally AM a 'bro' by definition of it. A ket'd up aggro-step raver skanking madly to Dayn tunes. Theres nothing wrong with that and I take it as a simple nuff thing to say.

though I tihnk the namme is a bit of a piss-take, 'brostep'. you cant assume people are 'elitist' because they have a different taste in music then you. Dubstep and Aggrostep or plummeting fast towards a subgenre world. Its not thier fault they see it, and dont assume EVERYTIME SOMEONE USES THE WORD they mean any insult. I use it constantly because I identifiy with it, not as an insult.

Im getting off this thread.

We shouldnt have to justify inside jokes because people think thier mean.

And this is really, really, really, really gay.

Fuck this.

i personally just ask whatever the fuck i want (usually incredibly noob questions) and could give a fuck about anyones negative attitude or responses. i dont take shit personally. for every 5 negative sarcastic replies theres usually one person who answers my question and thats all i care about really.

For me, Ill use wobbles or reese or maybe none of the two, I like to use a lot of different bass sounds I dont restrict myself to just a wobble bass or reese. Whatever gets the job done on the particular track Im working on.

How is this relevant?

Are you making aggressive dirty tunes or pleasant subbyr groovy ones?

A Reese could be in either with no problem man, same with wobble... these are very vague terms and can cover a HUGELY broad rnage of sounds. What defines Aggro vs. Dubby is the mood of the final product.

Do you lentil eaters realise what business we discuss on this forum?

It's the music business, the most soul destroying, sadistic, evil business in the world.

It's cruel, harsh and unforgiving and if you can't deal with a few people mocking you, I hate to say it, but you're in the wrong business all together.

If I went up to a bunch of successful bands, djs, producers of any genre and asked how to do something extremely simple or something they had covered a trillion times, how many do you think would show you the light of day?

I'll tell you, around one in a hundred at the most.

You should count yourselves lucky we have the help we do on here, stop whining because someone posted a picture of an alpaca in your datsik thread or someone said IN when you wrongly posted your track.

It's extremely tame on here. Wait until you deal with promoters, label owners, managers etc. Based on your reactions on here you'd have a breakdown and cry.

I'm not saying we all need to be bastards, but we also don't need to hold your hand when you cross the road. It's that fine line that makes this place good.

To be fair, I've dealt with quite a few label owners, promoters, managers. If you think this thread is about whining, I invite you to read the first post again, and read it carefully, as it's obviously not whining but rather pointing out the causes behind why a lot of people are staying away from this board and asking people to think before they post. I said you're free to ignore it and do what you want, so I don't see how it's merely a complaint at all. If I disappointed any of you, well that's too bad, I'm not really going to lose any sleep over it. I'd just like to see a better attitude on a board I enjoy posting on and reading...I like helping people out on here and being helped out as well. :)

I have to agree with the op on this, at least a little bit. As a newer member I've noticed a lot of "dickish" comments on people's threads, but for the most part that's expected anywhere. Usually there's answers to the questions or at least comments responding to the original theme of the thread, they are just sometimes spread out through the thread. You'll have to read some stupid comments to get to the ones you want but they are easy to ignore.

Now I understand people's frustration with people asking the same questions over and over again on almost a daily basis. But that is what's always going to happen on forums that offer information of a certain kind. A simple reminder of the search function and if it's not to bothersome maybe a link to the thread where most of it has been covered would help to. I think doing it that way helps with the portrayal of this forum to new users as well. I personally stay away from posting my own threads as I've found that most of my questions have already been asked and I tend to just post within those threads instead of starting new ones.

Now I'm not saying people on this forum suck or anything. But there are some people that I think have forgotten what it's like to be new to the whole scene. I think if everyone just remembered what that was like, what people perceive as an attitude problem, would probably change, or at least the majority of it. I completely ignore any of the negative posts cause it's not really that big of a deal, I get it. I also understand that a lot of users have been here for a long time and probably have that kind of relationship between them where negativity is just kind of like a joke they share back and forth with each other. But there are those posts you find where it's just blatant insults at someone for a specific thread or comment/opinion and I don't think that's really needed at all and I think that portrays the forum in a bad light to new/future members and old members alike.

Don’t worry about people stealing an idea. If it’s original, you will have to ram it down their throats.
