np, just wanted to check out the competition :P

Also I don't think there's anything in the rules about letting other people see your track when it's done, i checked the last competition, number 22, and loads of people had their tracks up before the end of the competition, so it seems to be ok to do.

didnt like this pack at all, biggest disappoint is the lack of melodic vocals

Yea I would have liked some melodic vox too. :(

I think it was a decent pack though, everything worked quite nicely together I thought. The last pack terrified me, I couldn't find anything workable in it at all. But that's probs more an indication of my lack of talent than the sample pack being bad lol.

man i nailed it, nada wrong with the pack. i like having limits. i used about 6 samples. & some of the sounds i created with them are better than alot of samples i could download. mind you i dont work with sample packs, usually just synths & shit. so its a breathe of fresh air. Im still trying to figure out how to turn a voice into a wobble, almost...just not quite there!

It's where you filter the sound in your garden. Or so I've been informed... This could be wrong though.

couldnt u just use a filter as an effect and link it to the cut off and wobble?

yeah i inline record filtered samples... but still havn't found i decent cutoff modulator for samples. im proberly just inexperienced, like ya can hear it when i modulate the bass towards the end, but it just doesn't do it quite enough. chea

No, it actually IS against the rules; it says to PM your tune to Haack, not post it up willy-nilly.

It was discussed explicitly last time... and the time before that... and the time before that...

:u:

But Why Is That, Maaaaaan?

By having all submissions be anonymous, the tunes are being judged on their own merits WITHOUT any considerations of personality, ego, etc.

For instance, what if some heavyweight you really liked posted a tune, but it wasn't quite as good as the other submissions, do you honestly think that Mr. Heavyweight's reputation wouldn't affect how people voted?

We need to add this explicitly to the rules because I feel like a broken record and a forum fascist now, but I'm fucking tired of having to say the same shit over and over.

No. That's also been stated before. Make whatever the hell you want. A good tune's a good tune's a good tune. Genres and prefab labels are for dicks.

:t:

I'm going to go get my morning coffee before I answer any more posts today.

Argh, I'm really sorry man, I read the other thread but apparently not in enough detail. Sorry I've caused you such hideous discomfort. I feel quite bad now. I've made the alphacat rage :'(

I'll take it down and whoever is judging can decide whether or not to accept it given my failure to abide the rules.

:(

Sorry again. Major fuck up on my part.

Eh, I hate sounding like an officious arsehole. And it's obvious there was no misintention on your part, just a lack of clarity that always seems to happen in these. Hell, your enthusiasm is a big plus if nothing else.

Luckily I don't think anyone here's gonna hold it against you as it stands now, so we should all smokum peace pipe and let it ride.

[big inhalation]

Oh yes... that's it...

I took it down and uploaded it to a super secret location which has been PM'd to haack, so hopefully it'll be ok.

I'll understand though if it's not. There'll always be the next one I guess. :)

It's not too bad a sample pack.... I'd have liked to have seen some nice fat bass samples but I'll see what I can do.

Is this a public vote and if so can you load the tracks on to your own soundclouds after the deadline?

Wait to upload your tracks to your own soundclouds until after voting, not just after deadline. I mean, please wait.

As far as I know this'll be public vote also.

Yeah I wanted to check first, I thought the best idea would be to wait after voting anyway.
