Lib Dem. I like the ukip but felt it would be a waste of a vote so out of the big 3 lib dem seemed the best.

Mainly. I don't understand it either. They're essentially Tories that said "No, the Tories aren't big enough wankers", painted themselves Purple and stood on the South Coast shouting swearwords at Brussels.

When I did one of those "who should you vote for" quizzes, I scored higher for the BNP than UKIP!

If you didnt vote..........you have no right to moan about the government until the you do!

Yes one vote may not change the world, but if everyone who thought actually voted then maybe something would change.

The amount of people i've read/seen on tv/spoken to, who have said they would vote for the Lib Dems, but it would be a wasted vote. If everyone actually had then maybe something would have changed!!

exactly, also people talking about tactical voting because a vote for who they want would be wasted, if you take that view then your tactical vote is still wasted its only 1 vote however you look at it

what people want is for there to be an equal amount of votes for all partys and then they get to cast the final ballot thereby choosing the candidate, to them that would be the only way a vote isnt 'wasted'. i dont think many people appreciate our democracy or even know how it works

FPTP has it's benefits, for sure, but I just don't see it as being suited to today's issues. The country doesn't ally itself to 5 or 6 newspaper "views" anymore... people have a whole range of opinions on a whole range of subjects and finding a party line that suits them is hard enough, without narrowing it down to only 2 parties who are forced to take more and more centre ground.

Locally it is a difficult issue... but other European nations manage it well enough and people seem satisfied. It wouldn't be a complete experiment.

It seems to me, that Britain would only be properly represented by a parliament that found a way to allow minority parties and even a few more single-issue MPs into the system to really claw the social changes that we require - protection of civil rights, environmental concerns, hell, even the Nationalists or Lizard-believers if they really turn out to hold a big enough share.

It's been a while since we've had a society that could properly get behind a single party vision... and I don't see it happening any time soon... so, for me, FPTP has had it's day.

haha whoever gets in has to report to the same bosses as the last government...the lib dems would make no difference thoe whole system is too corrupt...nothing ever changes...its like a slight of hand trick....change.....change......change.....change etc etc

governments are merely branch managers of one company....imho

Choice is just an illusion.

The government will still be controlled by the multi-national corporations, oil companies and families like the Rothschilds, no matter who's in charge.

Get real you stnuc, it makes no difference who you vote for.

Well it does. Despite it not being that big, there is a difference between the Tories and Labour and there would be changes made to the country if the Tories had a majority government.
Our democracy is fucked though, no doubts there.

david icke wrote:I watched Labour Party supporters cheering wildly whenever their candidates were announced to have won their seats when that party in government has been responsible for killing and maiming millions in wars justified by lies; has ceaselessly and viciously imposed an Orwellian police state; and has removed regulation from the banking system and then thrust upon the country astonishing levels of debt to bail out the banks amid their unregulated mayhem.

And here were these programmed people - computer terminals - cheering when another of this shower was elected back to parliament. But they wouldn't compute the sheer lack of logic in their slapping palms because it is not about what is right or just - it is only about winning.

I saw Caroline Lucas, the first Green Party candidate to win a Westminster seat, being cheered and feted by her supporters when all she will do is be a focus in parliament to press for action on the totally-discredited lies about human-caused global warming.

She said after her 'victory' that people had voted for the 'politics of hope above the politics of fear' when she is going to Westminster to say from day one that if we don't destroy the world economy, tax people till the pips squeak, impose Orwellian climate laws and make fortunes for the mega rich through cap and trade we are all going to die.

What an irrelevance it all is to what is really happening in the world as the global population is systematically raped by the banks and the Orwellian agenda, and vampired of its wealth, health, energy and freedom.
