ish - there's 40 million above voting age adults, so i'm not shitting myself at the thought of 1/80th of the voting age public being racist stnuc, i thought it would be higher than that tbh.

yes, but then surely they would have earned those seats? im not saying i support it, i dont they should have any seats, but it is supposed to be a fair system and so surely if people are voting for them then that means that there are people out there who support what they say, and have just as much right to free speech and expression as the rest of us. One would just hope that their arguments would be shot down in parliament if that situation were to arise, and that people would recognise that their ideals are not particularly good for moving britain forward.

if you get what i mean? im not sure i expressed it particularly clearly, but i hope so.

i guess the main problem with proportional representation would be deciding which seats they would get through proportional representation. the more i think about it the more complicated and confusing it gets, but i think a proportional government would be a lot more efficient in improving british life, as long as it is well set up and not rushed through without considering the implications of such a large upheaval.

what we really need is vetinari from the discworld series running our country.

Just tells me that I can't trust what he's saying, when conservatives have always done the opposite of this.

What do people think of the situation though? Does this mean that if Nick Clegg accepts the offer they will both rule as one government or is it two parties both with an input. Don't quite get it

Yeah they actually have quite a big following for one of the smaller parties. Its not good man.

yeah but according to a friend of mine they lost roughly 130,000 standing in politics and never getting more than the required 5% of the vote to get money back that it cost to stand
