Yeye flip dat, source the sidechain from the kick for the sine/subs gatewirez wrote:Yeh except if you used the kick as a sidechain trigger the idea would be for it to play when the kick doesn't :/GarthRoyal wrote:@ kontigobeats. Vibe is nice with this 1. Defo give it some subass action still. Sine wave mite work nice underneath, jus experiment init. U cud gate the bass nd then sidechain it to the kick so it only comes in wen the kik duz.

Here's a remix myself and Vly made for GMC, the vocals are in Bulgarian.
Feedback would be appreciated. This is the final version just a few minor tweaks left but in general this is how the tune will sound

Cheers

Re: FINISHED TRACKS FOR FEEDBACK-- MAY 2010
@minstrell- great use of space, the bass is good too, you've got a little bit further to go before you get to the rediculousness of spor/noisia but that's what the stabs reminded me of, that single tone (the obviously flat bit on the soundcloud waveform) works really well too, great idea. I like the vocals, and think they could probably be a little more prominent throughout. Nice job.
@jaspervc- Nice arrangement, great intro, but your main bass has absolutely no power in it, make the mid frequencies of it lower, layer it with something else, i don't care- just make it hit and you'll have a brilliant tune. All the incidentals, variations etc. are great- just make that bass have an impact and you'll have an awesome tune on your hands.

That 808 bassline is great, and halps move the tune along. Personally i think you've gone a little overboard with the vocal effects. Something to try is putting another track in with the same vocals but no effects, then putting a compressor on the vocals track that has effects on it, which is sidechained to the clean vocal track, this will let you have all those cool effects without losing any ability to hear what the words are actually saying.
If you're giving feedback and are prepared to listen to something a bit different:

If you only like tracks with rediculous wobble, then have a listen to something i threw together in 40 mins cause i was bored of writing actual music:

I'd prefer feedback on the first, will return feedback on either.

Here's a track I finished for the most part today. I think it's one of my best so please criticize on what I should work on and if it even sounds good, help and brutal honesty would be much appreciated. It's a dubstep track with jungle/breaks influence, oh and it's in my sig.
