spent some more time today working on this. Here are some questions:
1. What can I do to make my drops more intense and exciting?
2. How can I keep my drums in the mix without them taking up all of my headroom (especially the snare)?
3. Does it get boring in the middle?
4. What can I do to make note changes smoother?
5.I have no real studio monitors or headphones, just some crappy on ear head phones, is the subbass present?
6. When I'm finished with this song what should i do to make sure i save it at the highest possible quality?
Thanks alot for the feedback

@ rightontime :

1 fuck around with sounds, automate, reverb, adsr, etc.use your creativity, add extra fx from library and fuck around with them
2 dont make drums to loud,in my tunes kick hit about 14 db /also play with stereo separation (all sounds stereo separation)
3. cant say if its boring, need to listen the tune for 20 times first ;D but yea it is.try to change the mood, like a chorus and a verse in pop songs

P.S
new tune i started yesterday,4 cups of coffee,2 splifs

-Karanp- Awesome chilled vibes here! I love a good deepstep track!
-Donpablo- Very nice track, I like something different like that.
-A.paul- very nice chill vibes with yours as well! Love the deep base.
-Drekbek- Sounds sick so far, that would sound kick as with some low end sine wave base layered with that wobble!

Here is an older dubstep track I put together a while back. Still needs plenty of level adjustments and mastering. Would love lots of feedback!

No idea what people are going to think of this as it's swaying into other genres a bit.

Any feedback at all would be great. Ideally directly on Soundcloud please.

Thaaaanks!

Bain : the idea is there, it does need a whole lot of mixing, and your bass needs to be fuller, soundwise, needs to have more power. your drums are pretty weak aswell, try looking into that.

Dozer : see soundcloud ;)

Had to upload mine on Newgrounds once more cuz Soundcloud is being a bitch:

Nearly finished, maybe change some sounds and arrange a full length

@reignz: i like the sounding of the wobble.nice :)
i dont like: that roland snare,as for me,i wuold layer it with claps etc.also i dont like the reverb, try making it shorter with little decay and small room,or just take it off.in that kind of tunes imho snare shuold be punchy, with minimum reverb

Thanks Reignz! I'll have a look at the kicks, you're probably right, might be a bit thin. Any other comments would be great, either about the production or the mixing.

Thaaanks!

Really liking this one, vocals especially and that meaty sub-bass.

Three things you could do about the kick and hi hats, compressor, EQ and simply lower the volume on them if they sound too harsh. Other then that I like the dub vibes at the start, very chilled out which I like.

Now this is a sick song, the shuffle of the drums, mixdown is damn good, liking pretty much everything on this track.

Now for my 2step/garage song, still work in progress decided to upload it to seee what people think.

@Donpablo, this track is big! some real nice synths used and the melody is nice! shuffle on the drums is nice too! wasnt really expecting it to drop as heavy as that to be honest, think maybe a not as heavy drop might fit nicer but maybe thats just me, def a big track tho, got my head nodding!

@zonetrooper - liking the synth, but not sure if the drums fit too well with it or maybe theyre too loud in comparison, the rhythm of the synth is nice, not really feeling the other synth that comes in around a minute in, sounds like too much is going on. keep at it tho!

heres mine work in progress, something a little different to wha i normally do, some 2step vibe, chopped vocals and nice synths, feedback appreciated!

as you know im the only serious brostep producer on this message boards (it seems)
anyway, with renoise, been working on some wobbles.

I allocate a 2nd renoise project, treating it as like a scrapbook for my wobble concoctions (yes I know that sounds ridiculas but when it comes to wobble brostep, resmapling is the secret!)

anyway here's a showcase, used albino3, fm8, and ton of effects like, comb filters, ringmods etc
woba-pella.wav

u can rob them if you like i dont really care was just messing about.

in my song i'll eventually add a sub sinewave under those
head of brostep defence
