to say any style or genre is shit is very arrogant and ignorant
his style and other similar styles are purely for entertainment purposes, they are all about the "reaction" not the eyes down type shizz

step off his dick, buddy, no ones even attacking the guy
and i wouldn't say he's "making it big"
there's truly only a handful of artists who have "made it big" in this
and that's not really on a huge scale, itself
see, i can use the return button too

Re: do you hate borgore
this is so refreshing... normally when the name "borgore" is in a thread title it is a bunch of morons babbling about
"borgore is this bad" or "i hate borgore this much" blah blah blah
i agree with what everyone has said here, its nice to see that there are some people who look at things more open minded

My first dubstep tune, been producing for around 5 months, so be gentle, lemme know what you think

He's pretty big where I live, most people I know who are familiar with dubstep can name like, borgore, rusko, datsik, and excision and that's about it. I would definitely say on the scale of making it and not making it in the small(ish) music scene known as dubstep borgore has definitely "made it".fractal wrote:step off his dick, buddy, no ones even attacking the guyand i wouldn't say he's "making it big"rinseballs21 wrote:ok i understand, but while you may not understand his style, their are thousands out there who do and enjoy listening to borgore and other hype artistsluthervandub wrote:hate is to strong a word and is overused

BTW here's links to songs he raps in, at least he has a sense of humor about himself.
I wouldn't be surprised if there are more but those are the handful of songs I'm familiar with that he raps in. Enjoy

No, i dont really hate borgore because i have never heard anything from him.
What I really hate are these stupid threads.

Re: do you hate borgore
yeah, i guess in terms of a sub genre of a sub genre's small "scene" he has made it, but in terms of the actual music industry, he's about as well known as mt eden... i mean burial is one of the most acclaimed artist in the dubstep realm, he's been nominated for mercury's and all that, yet the number of people who know about him, on a real scale- not just within this tiny scene, is pretty small. Skream & Benga are pretty big names, have they made it? guess it's all subjectivehoney-d wrote:He's pretty big where I live, most people I know who are familiar with dubstep can name like, borgore, rusko, datsik, and excision and that's about it. Oh defo on the big picture of the music industry and even just EDM he hasn't scratched the surfacefractal wrote:

This is something to ponder...
The way I think of it as economies of scale. While he may be traveling around the world, playing parties and releasing music, his name is probably recognized by a total of maybe million people, maybe. But, that is enough in our little world and thus, I would say he has made it.
Personally, if we are talking "jewstep" I wold much rather go for Shekel. His new EP is a face-melter for sure!
Edit: Fractal- I am working on a similarly long response to the dissertation you sent me

He's on Mad Decent, which pretty much dwarfs any dubstep label in the EDM world, and gettin canned on a regular basis by Diplo and company whos is pretty much a king maker these days.honey-d wrote:Oh defo on the big picture of the music industry and even just EDM he hasn't scratched the surfacefractal wrote:

Ya'll hated his ass all the way to the top.
Just keepin it real
Re: do you hate borgore
He might be a nice guy, he might not be. I honestly doubt he's a nice guy, so call me racist if you will.
I've never met him and never will 'cuz chances are when he's playing, I'll be somewhere else.
His music? I don't see anything particularly skillfull or pleasing to the ear in it. I'll go as far as saying that I can producre Borgore tracks. I won't though because I won't spend two days (yes that's all it takes) working on music I loathe.
I think he's one of the poorer producers who has 'risen to fame' lately. And he really shouldn't put vocals over his tracks. He should take english classes first.
That being said, I can see why some people dig it.
SO yeah, good for him/

Re: do you hate borgore
dont know him as a person, but yes i will say this.
when people look at you when you say youre into dubstep and assume your some drug addicted screw up who listens to "whale noises", they get the impression from when they go to raves or look on youtube and come across commercial "dubstep" that is boregore and half of the circus gang.
i believe there is a difference between dubstep and random stupid noises played at 140 BPM, with flux pavillion and doctor p being just about the limit. id be suprised if you could honestly call Mala and Borgore the same genre........
