why does it say in your sig that you are New Zealand's finest?! joker

This relates to a post I made in my thread in the main forum.

Originally Pauly Fuemana of OMC is NZ's finest, however as he is no longer alive (RIP) I must rightfully claim the throne.

Think of it like Jay-Z claiming King of NY after Biggie's death.

Similarly, Mount Eden is Auckland's highest point. Musically, Pauly was Auckland's "highest point". Now I am.

Just trying to keep the NZ musical legacy going.
:)
New Zeland finest?

so you gonna make any of your own tunes anytime soon?

EDIT oh yeah, and did you really make that Anti War Dub remix?
I have one in the works

I didn't make the AWD remix. Way too many copy cats right now. It's like a copy cat serial killer. I absolutely MURK remixes, and then suddenly mans is trying to swagger jack.

I don't get it :?

there is a difference between "murking a remix" and just outright killing a song.
MtEden wrote:I don't get it :?
well heres how it works...

1) you make a shitty generic remix of a successful tune
2) stupid people start to listen to it, because dubstep is cool
3) slightly less stupid people think, "hey, this guys just took a decent tune and made it into a terrible fucking mess, and people are going sick for it, I could do that then I would be cool too!"
4) these shocking abominations get uploaded to youtube
5) the previously mentioned stupid people make extremely vulgar comments, often invloving how "filthy" the tune is, often mentioning members of their families (especially elderly relatives) in situations that they would NEVER mention at family occasions.

hope ive cleared this up for you :D

I think quite a lot of record labels have contacted him, usually saying something like "would you mind not infringing copyright so blatantly"
