The problem with downloading software is it will never be enough, and you will never learn it.

If you are going to go down this dark road of thievery, think about this suggestion: Steal only what you can later afford. If producing music becomes your thing as it does for so many, you will need legit shit, no point in learning a bunch of shit that you won't be able to afford.

Steal what you will later be able to afford.

any half decent virtual analog style synth can be used to make such sounds.

either get into synthesis, or into sampling, or buy some sample cds. and use google.

@komanderkin where should i start if i wanted to get into synthesis?

@deadly habit i have about $200 to spend right now but i think i'm gonna stay with reason and just learn how to use the combinator more so if anyone has any info on that please share.

If you want to get into synths you got 3 with Reason, start with the subtractor, once you can program that you can program any synth. Using combi's will yield better results when you can use a synth and understand how to hook up effects and route cables and such.

with your 3 DAWs
i would dicth reason, save cubase for later and, just stick with fl studio for now because ,it is easy to use but very powerful when you spend a lot of time with it. don't bother with vsts atm its just going to confuss things. also don't excpect results straight away, you got to learn to walk before you can run.

Remember your production will improve with time, not with software.

If you wanna mess around with a vst in your other hosts, try synth 1. Everyone starts on that thing.

#1. DON'T BE A DUMBASS

rule #1 can manifest itself in many, many ways. The most common one is DON'T BREAK THE LAW IN PLAIN DAYLIGHT. IE, don't ask/post about cracked software or warez on a public forum, and don't share copyrighted material (most commonly, samples)
