Jury's out on this one. I get the feeling that any smoke of any description into your lungs is essentially a bad thing but I'm no doctor.

On a not totally disconnected note, I've noticed that the links between alcohol and cancer are coming through more now, especially throat and bowel and any areas where fatty tissue deposits. In checking the sensible drinking limits for alcohol this is 1 pint a day for men, so although I don't drink that often, when I do I probably go through the weekly allowance in one or two evenings.
Hmm....

but thats only as to cancer

as far as i understand, skunk has a disgusting amount of tar in it, which im happy to do without i think (along with the potential mental health issues later in life which are being increasingly strongly linked to the high grade)

the hashish in extreme moderation will do me fine i reckons

Weed contains bare tar. More than cigarettes.

Anyone tried vapourising skunk? Apparently that's a healthy way of doing it. Effort though, and rolling and smoking a spliff is very nice. Although continuing to smoke weed (even on the odd occasion) makes quitting cigarettes a right bitch.

I use a vap daily. they're cool, better for controlling odor than the ill effects on the lungs though. I feel the same since I've started using it over a year ago. I still smoke fairly often too so, eh, moot point? there's nothing like that yellow smoke from a big ol' bong hit once in awhile.

if weed kills me, I die happy. fuck it.
what is this stuff?

Cigs are far more important then girlfriends. You can still use your staind hand if things get desperate.

My first suggestion is to buy gum and lollypop's. You will have something in your mouth and it takes a while before you throw it away, so cigarettes wont be an option...

2nd Suggestion: Get a girlfriend (or boyfriend) who doesnt smoke! Its easier to leave cigarettes when you do it for someone else! Because your together so often you wont touch a cigarette again. On the other hand, your girlfriend will keep you busy  so you wont think about having a cigarette!

Try aversion therapy everytime you fancy a ciggy get someone to hit you. That is a bit of an extreme example but something like that could work?

haha, you would have to get an old lady to do it, so you don't hit back. I never really thought of the consequences. Its all about the trust.

yeah mate. thats exactly what I did.

I just thought, 'if I can do these days without, why not try a week, then a fortnight,' and so on.

A mate of mine used the technique of replacing cigs with spliffs. Thereby making him too lean to smoke. Repeated rpocess for a month until he was too broke to keep bunning so much but also lost all desire for cigs!

Avoid the pub at all costs during initial stages of giving up!
