Anyone in London interesing in collaborating on an AV set?

Post by entheogen » Thu Feb 15, 2007 10:57 am

Easy all,

I'm currently experimenting on sequencing real-time video compositing software with live production, and I would like to collaborate on a dubstep set, as this is the music I listen to most of the time.

I've got a lot of footage shot in Tibet that seems to fit very well with the dubstep vibe - monks, monestarys, eastern culture etc. These mixed with robots and waveforms etc. seem to fit the aesthetic of dubstep very well.

I'm trying to figure out the best way to automate my visuals through MIDI sequencing. However, it would be very useful to me if I had someone with an actual set so we could try and integrate the music and visuals. Midid signals can be sent from Ableton for example and the louder the music gets, the faster the image moves etc.

If anyone out there is making Live Dubstep, can send me Midi signal and is interested in collaborating let me know. Thanks.

YoYo,

very interesting concept man, we be creating live DubStep in Ableton primarily using midi lines and various synths of sorts, SH101 of course, vinyl and various method of sample destruction. Anyone else, mixing this stuff live...?? we dont wanna oversequence to keep a live improvised feel to the vibe. CUrrently working on an hour long set for a DubStep party on St Patricks day... we're a long way from London though! maybe we can write something to fit your visual? peace from OZ>
